nice. that handle is so comfortable.
Its indeed an extremely comfortable model. For me personally it is a perfect smaller knife except for the pocketclip.

Carrying this old friend today.
I have this one in S60V. Rare find, in a knife shop in Paris, France. I couldn’t believe my eyes. No box and at a premium price but when the seller told me that it’s available I jumped over it like a hawk. It’s one of my most treasured spydies. I like it way more than the last iteration. Old school.
That’s indeed a rare version and a great find! My rarest is my 440v Rhino version.

The only knife I brought on this trip.

Does well for how small it is, but I do miss a longer blade especially for food prep on hikes or in the accomodations with their notoriously superdull kitchen knives...

Top three going by pocket-time (update April 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10), Chaparral SE (CTS XHP)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Endela SE (K390)

For the weight, it's hard to find a better travel companion.
I do agree though, it's not ideal when doing lots of food prep. It's one reason I really hope we'll eventually see a SXL LW salt in FFG CE. I know you're not a fan of the tip strength, but for an allround lightweight knife I think it would be hard to beat.

PS. We have almost the same weather. Clear blue skies and not even a hint of wind here. There is that -12C/10F on the thermometer though, judging from your choice of trousers I guess there's maybe a couple of degrees warmer on your end.

Thank you! I've really fallen back in love with carrying the Sage1 and these give it a whole new flavor. I like them so much I have a matching set of scales coming for the GB2.

Thanks man 👊 yeah this DLT exclusive Endela is really really good… I carry it a lot and the size is truly Goldilocks, also the OD green/black blade pop…Cruewear of course is incredible…A salt version w/whatever steel would be dope!!!

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.
