I really got to start using this wharncliffe endura more, it cuts so well… in the pocket it goes.
i don't live close to jupiter. we took a short day trip for the beach here. i think we'll be coming back this way again though because this is the prettiest water i've seen on the east coast of florida without going farther south. anyway, i'm not really a golfer, but i want to try getting back into it a little. and i don't enjoy fishing. i'd rather just lay in a hammock and listen to the water and wind.SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 9:12 amNice…that sure beats planting hostas
..man I hope you play golf LB; there’s more PGA Tour Pros that call Jupiter, Fla. home than anyplace on planet Earth for good reason plus the
is awesome

What a sweet little slicer and like $90 out the door![]()
To me that corrosion really looks good, as do any signs of use like scratches and patina and everything that shows a knife actually has a "life".
i'm fine with fishing when i need to for food, but i really enjoy either exploring or relaxing when in the outdoors. fishing introduces a goal and a purpose that can cause frustration when it's not going well. laying in a hammock, on the other hand, is never disappointing. also, the payoff for fishing when you are not eating it is just being glad that you were able to pierce a poor fish's mouth and yank it out of where it can breathe just to feel good about that accomplishment before throwing it back. i just don't like anything about it unless i need to eat.
every time i see these, it makes me want one. sal hinted at the wharncliffe making a resurgence. i'm holding out for now.SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 11:34 am

I totally get the fishing thing as I know several people who feel the same way, but you might better stick to the hammock thing because golf also introduces a goal and a purpose that imo creates waaay more frustration when it’s not going well…unless of course your next meal depends on what you catch.ladybug93 wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 3:53 pmi'm fine with fishing when i need to for food, but i really enjoy either exploring or relaxing when in the outdoors. fishing introduces a goal and a purpose that can cause frustration when it's not going well. laying in a hammock, on the other hand, is never disappointing. also, the payoff for fishing when you are not eating it is just being glad that you were able to pierce a poor fish's mouth and yank it out of where it can breathe just to feel good about that accomplishment before throwing it back. i just don't like anything about it unless i need to eat.
yeah, dude. a morning of best ball with some good friends is far less frustrating, as is some time at the driving range. if there's a chill way of doing something, that's where you'll find me.SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 4:38 pmI totally get the fishing thing as I know several people who feel the same way, but you might better stick to the hammock thing because golf also introduces a goal and a purpose that imo creates waaay more frustration when it’s not going well…unless of course your next meal depends on what you catch.ladybug93 wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 3:53 pmi'm fine with fishing when i need to for food, but i really enjoy either exploring or relaxing when in the outdoors. fishing introduces a goal and a purpose that can cause frustration when it's not going well. laying in a hammock, on the other hand, is never disappointing. also, the payoff for fishing when you are not eating it is just being glad that you were able to pierce a poor fish's mouth and yank it out of where it can breathe just to feel good about that accomplishment before throwing it back. i just don't like anything about it unless i need to eat.
I keep saying but nobody listens , LB is a genius! MG2SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Sat May 13, 2023 6:01 pmOh no doubt TOPGOLF or BESTBALL or a good game of NASSAU is the “fun” side, but try tournament golf with scratch golfers or negative handicappers and have a bad day…some of my best days fishing have been when I get skunked, but see gators and giant bullfrogs or blue herons and wood ducks or a doe and fawn drinking twenty feet away or toms gobbling or listening to the rapids churning or waves crashing…heck you can just float a river, be quiet, never pick up a rod and fill a stringer with your camera![]()
my life summed up in one sentence... still joke that I shoulda gone to college
