Hmmm... Black Micarta... I had to look that one up. Nice looking knife. There's an interesting anecdote by Sal in the Spydiewiki:BOHAWG wrote:Reached back into Spyderco history today and carried an original C58BMP- J.D. Smith........

I finally got the time to put my own edge on my cruwear millie so this is now going into my pocket. I finished my bevels with 400 grit moldmasters because a couple of my stones broke loose from the aluminum mounts and I could not get a proper progression for my usual polish.

Nice edge, Chuck. Good to see you back on the forum more. Hope this means things are getting better in your homeland.

Thanks, feels like a buzzsaw. I just can't get the same kind of edge from diamonds that I can get from the moldmasters. Must be a technique issue.Brock O Lee wrote:Nice edge Chuck! Just perfect.

Things are slowly getting back to normal. Politics is not helping but we Pinoys are resilient. I couldn't make it to the hard hit areas but I did what little I could, by volunteering with a civic organization, to pack some goods and clothes destined for Tacloban.
As an off topic, it was just good timing that I bought a little baofeng transciever and I happened to reconnect with old friends who are radio amateurs who were in the thick of things in the aftermath. I now realize why radio is the communications of choice during emergencies. The hams just went to bat and delivered during the first few, horrible days. Radio was the only link to the battered areas.

I had a strong feeling that you'd been involved with the rescue efforts. I'm sure it's been a lot of long, hard work for all concerned, and that of course is just speaking of the lucky ones. I think I can speak for all the forumites in saying that we hope normal days are just around the corner for you and your countrymen.chuck_roxas45 wrote:Thanks, feels like a buzzsaw. Thank you most sincerely for your sentiments. My efforts were much too little. I am humbled by the outpouring of help from the whole world.DougC-3 wrote:I had a strong feeling that you'd been involved with the rescue efforts.
