Is there a dealer that tends to carry more Hinderer's than most? Pretty hard to find when just doing a quick browse.
DLT. But the BF Exchange has been riddled with deals lately, especially full Ti XM18 3.5 and Eklipse. There's a SW Bronze full Ti Eklipse for $550 right now with all the original bits... I'm a big fan of mine
Lol, man I've been thru quite a bit of Hinderers.
They were my favorites overall.
I had one of the first Tri-Way Pivot models
That's when the Try-Way logo resembled Giant Mouse & Rick then changed it.
They are awesome blades for sure.
Not sure which Hinderer models are most sought after, but there's usually some floating around over at Lamnia (none of the XM's atm).
I too drank the Hinderer kool aid some years back. His backstory does undeniably have some upfront appeal to us SAR people, but by the time I figured out which one to get and actually finding one - I had come to my senses and instead went the Spyderco route for my SAR needs.
Interesting to see how similar it is to the M2, thanks for the photo Jeff. It raises my interest level somewhat again, but I think that ship has sailed. They were always expensive, but it's getting ridiculous. An XM18-3.0 would cost me about USD 740 from Lamnia if they were in stock.
It's reminiscent of what happened to Rolex and so many other brands; going from highly regarded tools for professionals to luxury brands for collectors. Strapping a $700-800 knife to my SAR kit only to lose it on deployment just doesn't make sense.
I thought I was done on the journey of buying knives, but now my interest is peaked!! My motto is buy a knife, sell a knife and I really only have a couple I WOULD sell...but don't really want to!
Love all the Hinderers! I’m after a XM24 Bowie myself. I watch his site almost daily, and I’ve past on almost every other model that has come up for sale. He does a lot of XM18 drops that tend to stick around a few hours if that’s what you’re looking for.

Still wish I would have bought the Skinny Sheepsfoot prndltech sold awhile back, that's the Hinderer I wanted, and still want!
Thats arguably the best one IMO from a performance standpoint. Still waiting on JORDAN@DLT to give us the no choil version. Here's my beauty and beast Sheepsfeet

Skinny sheepsfoot with orange scales, yeah that was my Hinderer of choice for SAR that I never pulled the trigger on.
I don’t regret my choice from a functional point of view, I believe I settled on a better solution that has worked very well. Still, looking in the rearview mirror that, was probably my chance to try one. Can’t justify it at current EU pricing.
Is that the one with comparable handles to the Manix that Jeff posted, but with a sheepsfoot?
I'll let Aba confirm, but I believe those are the XM-18s which have the similar grip footprint to the Manix and is what I have. The skinnys are slimmed down and reduce weight. They also make choilless, but I believe those have fewer produced. They come in different blade shapes as well. I have the Slicer.
The Eclipse has a more linear design and doesn't have the negative blade angle. Think of your Zaan.
Funny, I used Google Lens on that picture and a bunch of Manix came up in the search.

I have a Slicer grind ZT 0562, it’s a great blade shape and a great cutter. I said earlier my preference is a Skinny Sheepsfoot but I definitely wouldn’t turn down a great deal on a Skinny Slicer Hinderer.
