What "Other" is in your pocket???
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I hadn't bought a GEC since last Summer and then boom, two folders and a fixed blade in short order. The 72s just came in today and are my first lockback GECs.
I got the H20 fixed blade last week. I put a better edge on it and it makes for an excellent paring knife. The muskrat clip is very good in the kitchen and starting to take on a natural patina. The Cody Scouts are just nice. I'm digging the burnt sienna bone on the Tidioute. Of course the long pull with cut swedge on the Northfield gets me going too.

There's just something about Northfields. Great looking knives. I almost picked up one of those H20s myself after seeing your first post, but I held off.

This bone is awesome. So much so, that i'm spamming this thread with photos.
Good work saving funds for more important things. The H20 wasn't a good value like it was 3 years ago, but it is nice. I like it as a paring knife. I generally prefer stainless steels in the kitchen, except for a few cheap cleavers, my clad super blue and now this.
The trim on the two Northfields is very similar. Same shield and three lined bolster. The pinched bolster and wood difference are the standout differences between the builds.

This is my only other Northfield. In my small GEC pile are half Tidioute, a couple Farm and Field Tool, a Waynorth, and the two Northfields.

That's such a great little knife. I use my Eldris LW for whittling out on my porch all the time.

I still love this knife, and its larger brother. Still don't have either. Hard to beat a Lum.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Yes, the Mini-Onslaught is very nice, especially since it has a Spydiehole instead of thumbstuds. I hope Spyderco will release more Lum-designed exclusives or sprints in the future. I missed out on the last BHQ exclusive.
