Thanks! I do like my Fixies.SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 2:12 amMan you have some awesome fixed blades…and I’m finally waiting on my sebenza to come in thanks to this thread (small insingo magnacut black micarta)…I used to put a fob on EVERY SINGLE KNIFE…yesterday I took the last one I had off my Dfly, but think those leather ones look great…might have to reconsider
I know they jazz up the looks but sometimes they kinda mess w/the ergos imo…never really liked a three finger grip which is the reason I kept one on the Dfly…but got used to it in a few hours…but I can see where they come in handy like on a fixed blade or SAK…the CRK might have to get a leather one!…

I find that lanyards really help on some knives (looking at you, Dragonfly), and they’re just fun on others. These Bark Rivers come with some really deep leather pouch sheaths, which is great for retention, but doesn’t make them easy to draw. I started putting CRK-style coil lanyards on all of them using Cobbler’s Choice Leather Boot Laces from Amazon.
Usually, I use 3/32” paracord for folders. The Sebenza is classy enough I felt like it needed leather.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

I can see the advantage on a fixed blade w/a deep sheath for sure…and I really like the coil method w/leather…Cobbler’s choicekennethsime wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 3:22 pmThanks! Today I’m carrying my Benchmade 928 Osborne Proxy, a discontinued G10/titanium frame lock! I don’t like Benchmade’s axis lock due to me not trusting the omega springs. So when I saw this at a local knife shop and noticed that it was a frame lock, I was very intrigued. I never knew Benchmade used to do frame locks, and this one is executed very well. I am already using this knife heavily and I can say confidently that it is a workhorse. Huge blade stock, but a very fine edge to go with it so it slices incredibly well. 20 CV, and “thumb studs” that actually work as the stop pins/locking mechanism. I also upgraded the clip to a deep carry MXG titanium clip. This was Warren Osborne’s last model he designed, so it’s a neat collector’s piece too. So far, I’m absolutely loving this knife!

Also carrying a Benchmade today. I’d love to pickup a 940, and either a Bailout, Tagged Out, or both.
That 928 looks killer Harry, I’ve never seen that model before.

So stoked to pick this up today. I sold the tanto Umnumzaan I had in the past, the blade shape was awesome in it's own right but I just really preferred to find the drop point. Gonna have to sell my Eklipse to recoup from this one.

Definitely a cool knife! I like mine a lot more since evening out the bevels. That tip area is quite thick, but cuts much better now. Hope you like it!

Thank you, I'm really digging it so far, I already liked how the ergos and pocket carry felt. The pics of the Zaans y'all post here kept me on the hunt.
