What "Other" is in your pocket???
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
@JSumm I'm glad they have a bunch of them that are slipjoints and don't have pocket clips. Was looking for the frame locks with the clips so that helped narrow it down. So many great looking knives with awesome scales, I wouldn't want them clanging around in my pockets with everything else!

A little bit of office, a little bit of warehouse today. The finish has held up better than expected so far. A few blemishes, but no serious scratches.

I definitely prefer this to bad plunge grinds that create a smile after the first reprofiling (or even after a few sharpenings).TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 11:53 amI read that it's supposed to act as a sharpening coil. Indeed could be a bit smaller, but thankfully it hasn't created any issues with the minor cutting I've done with it so far. Not quite like the Smock, but then again it doesn't NEED it for a button lock like the Smock does.
Wonderful knife, My Gunslinger has the same notch and it has never bothered me during cutting. I mostly eat or cut wood with it so that might be a good reason why

PS : I removed the clip on mine, prefer it that way. And I had an issue because the clip screw was stripped, Ben Belkin is super easy to contact and he sent me a full set of hardware, with stop pin and bearings. My only gripe is that I'd wish for him to be able to make these in America, or even Europe.

Besides a older Spyderco Military SE in S30V steel and an older Endura CE in ZDP-189 i regularly carry this somewhat modified Buck Strider 881 in BG-42 steel:

That's a looker! I'd love to see a Spyderco Rexford. Epicenter seems like a candidate for a Spydihole. Too bad Boker Plus ruined the concept forever lol

How are you liking this? Do you carry it in pocket in a slip sheath, or?
I just realized that company isn't far from where I live, coincidentally.

I am enjoying it a lot. I had one awhile back with the paracord wrap which was uncomfortable. The scales make it easier for harder cuts. The blade shape reminds me of the Native 5. Love that shape.SpeedHoles wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 4:33 pmHow are you liking this? Do you carry it in pocket in a slip sheath, or?

I carry horizontal on my belt. I want to get an ulticlip for pocket carry. I have taken off the belt loop and dropped it in my pocket with the kydex sheath it comes with is comfortable too

Cool, good to hear. I may consider one of their models eventually.

The small game hunter looks nice too. Bit smaller blade than the backpacker but I long sculpted micarta handle. Comes in Magnacut also. They seem to do a nice job on their magnacut, mine slipped and hit a countertop with no damage.SpeedHoles wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 7:49 pmRugerNurse wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:11 pmI am enjoying it a lot.
