I want one... I’ve been debating buying one... but I want it serrated
I would have chosen SE if I could find one but I have to say I'm really impressed with how well this performs in PE. Never would have guessed how well it works for most of my EDC uses. Cardboard and packing are a dream for the reverse S. I get all the hawkbill benefits (that I need), good controlled pull cutting with a surprisingly useful belly that makes the mostly unused (by me) rear portion of a traditional hawkbill quite useful.
While it's not something I'd recommend for cutting board use, it does decently well with fruit.
With my warehouse work and typically pull cutting, this knife has been intriguing me since you've been posting it. Is it only available through BBS? (Which I have no problem with)

It’s no secret I’m on the hawkbill kick. I may just have to get the matriarch 2 in SE. although I’d love this size in SE because I really enjoy the Tasman 2.

The blue handled one is a BBS exclusive. I have one I can send you if you'd like to check it out
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

The Matriarch 2 even though a Reverse S has a different shape and is much more aggressive and defense oriented. I don't have a Matriarch 2 but I don't think it's blade shape lends itself to EDC the way the shape of the lil Matriarch's blade does.

Yes this is a BBS exclusive and my first purchase with them. The negative publicity got me curious so while checking out the shop I came across this and couldn't resist. :D
I wish they'd bring these back in SE or even just back period...
Good thing BBS isn't popular around here :p or I would have missed out on a great knife.
Top three going by pocket-time (update April 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10), Chaparral SE (CTS XHP)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Endela SE (K390)
Thanks!
That´s where I go on more "relaxed" days when I don´t want to cover lots of vertical distance but feel more like strolling through the woods and do some minor "bushcrafting" maybe... good thing being that I get to use my knives more there, then I usually do while mountaineering in higher regions above the tree line :)

Very nice pic, and very nice knife (says a guy who generally is not too fond of heavier, thick bladed, huge choil, comp.lock knives...but THIS one, well... )

Don't use it a lot lately, since it's PE and I just discovered the greatness of serrations.
But still I really love this knife (and carried it today :) )
