Old Spyderco All Stainess Steel Folder

#1

Post by Deaf Smith »

Hello,

I have an old Spyderco, maybe Delica, with a clip that that was made out of the handle. Yes the clip seems to be literally made out of the stainless steel handle (there is a depression where the metal came from.)

With the edge down and point facing to the right the clip is on that side. On the clip is stamped, "US and Foreign Pats." And on that side the knife blade is stamped, "SEKI-JAPAN.

Also on that side are four 'revets'. One it seems is the pivot, and the other three near the back and top.

The other side of the blade has 'SPYDERCO' stamped.

Any idea what this knife is?

Here is a photo.

Did you ever find out what model this was?

From your description, I have the same knife. My uncle passed away years ago and I just found it in a box of his old stuff. It needs a clean up for sure, but I can't find a match for the model.

Dear Deaf Smith and dhorlo:

Welcome to the Spyderco Forum.

The knife you're referring to is the C05 Economy/Standard. Here's a link to its history on SpydieWiki: https://www.spydiewiki.com/index.php?ti ... y/Standard.

Stay safe,

Awesome! Thank you for the ID, (and showing me there was a whole wiki for Spyderco knives).
