Several years ago, I was flying monthly within the US. I had a problem twice with a serrated endura and almost missed one flight because of it. Serrated edges definitely get their attention. I was in the phoenix airport later and overheard "security" telling some passenger "no serrated knives". I ...

I didn't realise that EDI already uses such a clip on their knives. I thought I had an original idea. Maybe next time. I might attempt to make one for myself, but don't want anyone to get into legal or ethical trouble over the idea. If there truly are no issues with the idea, I'd love to have one ...

I really liked the Goddard LW plain edge, so I ordered one. It feels good in my hands and the drop point blade is great for my uses.

I think the best way to attach the clip would be a single screw coming into the lanyard hole from the non-clip side. The clip itself would have a threaded collar that goes into the lanyard hole. That way no hole is required for the clip and it is still reversable for left/right carry.

idea for a deeper concealment clip

I noticed several people in the contest thread indicated an interest in knives with the minimum amount sticking above the pants pocket. I was one of them. A replacement clip might be a viable option. Here is one idea I thought of:

What about a clip that extends from the lanyard hole up to the end ...

My first was a serrated endura bought about 10 years ago. I traded it after a few years when the serrations became a hassle.

I prefer the plain edge for several reasons. It is the unfortunate reality that serrated blades (especially fully serrated) scare non-knife people. Plain edges make nice, smooth cuts which is generally what I need. For a dedicated fighting knife, I'd choose serrations, but for general purpose use ...

I found the forum from the spydeco web page. Nice knives. I've carried a spyderco (endura or delica) for 10 years now and used them for about everything except defense which I was ready for but never required.

My first post and it is an article...

I have carried and used endura and delica knives for the last 10 years. They have been good knives. My next purchase will be a spyderco; most likely a Goddard lightweight with plain edge.

I'm not a big fan of serrations even though the spyderco ones are ...
