Re: Spyderco's Taichung (Taiwan) Folders

Salsa fanatic here.

Although the Salsa was made in Taiwan, it was made in Taipei, a city which is not to be confused with Taichung. These two cities are over 100 miles apart.

This is a great topic because for a while I felt like I was the only one. Just like the others in this thread, I have scaled my Spyderco purchases back considerably. I went from probably 30-40 knives per year to less than 10 per year. I can't explain why. My preference for Spyderco knives hasn't cha...

Of course you pushed a button. I bet lots of other people ordered one; they just don't want to get spat on and insulted, so they won't "confess" before the Grand Inquisitors. You raise a very valid point. In fact, no forum member should be put into a position where they feel like they ha...

Sometimes G-10 loses it's texture not because it has become worn away, but because the texture of the G-10 has become filled in with dirt, skin cells, oils, etc. This gives the false illusion that the G-10 is now smooth. I have heard people mention they have used a Mr. Clean magic eraser to rejuvena...

It's fake. That guy is mistaken or is big *******. Search on alieexpress "paramilitary blue". And all fake PM2 have straight transition between choil and blade grind. In original is little vertical breakdown at the height of the cutting edge. I'm not saying you're wrong, but you sound very certain ...

Thanks Kristi & Spyderco. your efforts are appreciated by the collective members of the forum. It seems like it has been roughly 10 years or so since the last major forum overhaul so maybe it's about that time.

Wow, five pages of mostly whining, crying and tantrums, frankly it's embarrassing to believe some of you part of the knife community and yet so ill equipped to handle basic every day life. I guess Bento should bundle their knives with a box of Kleenex and give them away free. They tie up a lot of m...

Four, if you count the Bladeforums blue Native knife as a forum knife.

I would be interested. Puzzling how the clad / ZDP version sold well enough to not get disco'd but the base model didn't.

I thought Spyderco already tried this a few years ago when they offered a good number of the lineup in foliage green G-10. They seem to have went away from it recently, though.

True, but there has been a Spyderco or two that were renamed because the name was already taken or in use by another brand / maker.

I really hope to add a Chubby to my Spyderco collection. That said, I'm wondering if the knife will end up being called the Chubby, since there is already a Kershaw Chubby.
