I absolutely love that Delica!!! That's saying something, too. As normally I'll take inconspicuous over pretty any day of the week, and am normally not impressed with fancy knives. I've just never really been able to get over the fact that you're paying all that extra money for looks alone (mo...

My only problem with them is deciding which one to carry.
Oh, definitely the awesome one. :p

Hee, Hee. That is a fun little knife. I have small hands, so I like small knives; I have a certain fondness for them. :p

Ha, I just saw a quote that dealt perfectly with your situation.

“Open, close, cut, clean, oil, cut, cut, cut... To a Spyderco, that is living. Letting it die in the box is to lose 75% of what we put into it." -----Sal Glesser

You need something bigger than that though. No he doesn't, for most every day uses, a 1 3/4" blade is perfectly fine. Besides, he said he liked it because it was small and light. One that I've had my eye on is the Dragonfly. The addition of a pocket clip over the Jester/Ladybug would probably ...

Wow, that is one sweet, small knife!

It looks like it would dig kind of uncomfortably into your hand while gripping it, any problems with that?

I had several instances where my Linerlock Gerber (I was young and foolish, please don't punish me!) opened up and poked me in the leg. Luckily, nothing serious, mostly annoying (and scary).

Yeah, I did end up puting a second zip-tie on there. The first one stops at the finger choils, and the second one makes the "Wave" far enough forward to actually catch. One thing that I discovered is that the ZipWave doesn't work very well for catching on your back pocket (if you were, for...

If you people will consider a Byrd Cara Cara a Spyderco, then it's that one! I've had it for a grand total of 4 days now, whooohoo!!

UPDATE: I found some zip-ties, and I waved my knife with one of those, seems to fix the problems that the wire had. So until further notice, I will be ZipWaved!

You could call that the "Barbed Wave", might be a big seller down here in Texas!! :D Unfortunately, yablanowitz is right. Even after only a few hours of Wave Fever, I realized that I'd better take it off right now if I didn't want to ruin my pockets. (there was very little actual damage t...

Poor Man's Wave

As I'm sure probably everyone new to Spyderco has done, I was reading up on the Wave, trying to figure out if it was for me. I had seen that some people had made makeshift Waves with zip-ties put through their Spyderholes, except that I didn't have any zip-ties lying around. So I used some stainless...

I agree that tip-up does seem to work better for inertia openings, the only problem for me is that because of my small hands, once I flick the knife open, my hand is only holding about half of the handle.

Tip-up or tip-down?

Hi, one thing that I've seen somewhat contested is the preference of tip-up to tip-down carry. Everybody has their preference (with tip-up seeming to be the majority), but nobody really says why they like to carry their knife tip-up or tip-down. Similarly, when I was looking for info on whether serr...

Well then, Sal. I'm glad to hear that the Byrds have all the quality of craftsmanship that goes with the Spyderco name. I've only had my Cara Cara for 6 hours now, but I already love it! It makes me laugh at myself for carrying my old knife for so long. My arm is kinda starting to itch. I think it's...

New to Spyderco. Go Byrds!

I just got my brand new Cara Cara FRN. It is my first entry into the Spyderco line. I realize that it isn't technically Spyderco, but it's still the most awesome knife I've ever owned! I'm already seeing a Delica in my future. I've been looking at these boards for almost a month now, but decided I w...
