Re: Can anyone help me identify the model of this knife?

If it only has "stainless" markings and not a company name we can't do much but guess. It looks like the type of inexpensive import sold for $5 to $15 at flea markets. There are boatloads of that kind of thing around. Many will have a sort of resemblance to a brand which attempts to trade ...

Re: What you don't like about spyderco knives?

There is nothing that I don't like after 30 years of Spyderco use except it's tough to get some of the models. I mean really tough. They can be gone in minutes it seems to me. No complaints about the knives, designs, production quality or steels selection and heat treat. Spyderco leads the industry ...

Re: Stainspots On Vg10

Renaissance wax is perfect for treating the blade that has that color on it. It will not only micro polish it off but it will prevent it from coming back. It looks better with the wax coating on it too. The first time you wax it you will be surprised at all the gunk that comes off. Stuff you never k...

Re: DLT Cruwear Endela

Just got mine in. It's my first Endela and I like it. I can carry it without any problems and it's close enough to Endura size where it doesn't cause the problems I have with Delicas. It's good fit & finish and I for sure don't see any lesser quality issues like I have read about for Seki knives...

Re: DLT Cruwear Endela

Seems like there are a bunch holding out for a Cruwear Endura. I've been trying to talk Spyderco into making one since before the first Cruwear Spyderco. I still want one but I'm not waiting. I'll still buy one if it comes out while I'm still alive but in the mean time I ordered an Endela to use whi...

Re: What's your LEAST favorite of all your favorites?

It's my CPM Cruwear Delica. It has all my likes except for not being my all time favorite knife. The Endura. I've had Delicas almost as long as Enduras but I stopped carrying them. As I got old I became more set in my ways. I'm not complaining about the Delica but to be perfect it would be an Endura...

Re: Calling Larrin

That subject has come up several times over the last couple decades but no one has pinned it down. Corrosion, steel "relaxing", and burrs are brought up amongst other theories . Some argue it doesn't happen at all. The edge testers are available now and we are closer to finding out if it r...

Re: NFL 2022-2023 Season

I used to wonder why the league doesn’t do anything about the bad officiating but I now realize it’s actually not bad - it’s intentional and setup exactly how they want it. It's really nothing new though. I have seen the refs cheat to help the Packers over the Lions to help them make the playoffs s...

Seeing the Manfred Mann song reminded me of this one. They did a memorable version of this song also.

Re: How Old Were You When You Began Carrying?

I was about 7 or so. I was sick of having to go get the sickle off the garage wall to cut something when doing chores and I knew I could use a knife of my own. Having one had to wait. I found a knife walking through an old site where topsoil was mined and trucked away. It was on the ground forgotten...

Re: 15V & AEB-L Mules On The Way

That's impressive. I thought Yab was the only forumite that had a near complete collection of Mules. (Can't remember...his collection might be complete?) MAN, I wish I'd gotten into mules earlier. I snagged a Cru-Wear early on, and then, like an idiot, thought that was sufficient. Realized too late...

Re: 15V & AEB-L Mules On The Way

I'm hoping I can get one of the 15V mules. I haven't had any luck getting one of the folders yet. I have most of the mules still only missing out on 5 or so.

Re: I may Have Gotten Scammed….

Don't panic after a day. I can't agree more. Don't stop payment or put in a claim yet. If you contact the guy and he doesn't answer in a reasonable time then do what is needed. Most people are pretty honest in this world. The chance you ran into a scammer is lower than you might think. Let it work ...

Great one Jim. I have seen a bunch of USC Song Girl performances to Tusk over the years too. If I don't enjoy that I'll know I'm a walking dead guy. :)

Re: NFL 2022-2023 Season

Good point and you are probably correct Joe. Joe, What were they saying out there locally about that "Snow Globe" ring around the rosey play. It was the silliest thing I have ever seen on an NFL field that wasn't part of a halftime schedule. I was embarrassed by it and I'm not even a Chief...

Re: What are you listening to?

Great pick ! Love Van Morrison , one artist that I never got to see in the day . Moondance album is one of my all time favorite albums , a masterpiece. Thanks Dan. I never seem to get tired of his music . I can't say that about a lot of the music I heard so many times over the years that I stopped ...
