I've got no self defense training and try to avoid situations where it might come up, so this is more of a question than anything else. What about something small and a good cutter, like the dodo or cricket? Both have wicked little blades and seem like they would catch a lot on a slash, allowing tim...

I'm no longer sure i'll ever finish skool.... Anyway, I'm not really a big user of my Spydies (opening boxes, cutting tape and ties etc...), but I enjoy having them on me. I change what I carry, but I always have a cricket in my back pocket. I've found it's very people friendly, incredibly comfortab...

Happy Days :p

Just received my Delica ZDPs. First Delicas. First ZDP. Very happy!! Lovely looking and feeling knife. Only just picked them up, did a sharp test and now have a nice bald spot on my arm which will probably lead to questions (such as, why do you have a big bald spot on your arm). Needless to say, ver...

Don't give up hope! I ordered mine from Total Outdoorsman on Monday and it got here today :) Still more to be shipped. If you can't get it through the big retailers, try browsing through some of the smaller ones. Total Outdoorsman was excellent to me.

Thanks everyone. Slick, you had me laughing... Personally, I love the smell of WD-40, so I'm sure the taste must be good (though that could explain some "problems" lately). My kitchen knives are rubbish, which is why I like to pull out my endura or some such. Nice, sharp and makes food pre...

Great Call!!!

I got my SS pe Cricket a couple weeks ago, and it hasn't left my pocket since, not that I can even tell it's in there until I want to use it (or play with it), at which point it cuts through things like butter. This knife is quite possibly my favourite right now (along with my endura wave), and even...

Knife Cleaning

I like to use some of my Spydies for food prep in the kitchen, and I was wondering how everyone cleans their knives afterwards to keep them in good condition. I've been washing in hot soapy water, blowing out with compressed air and then putting a little wd40 on, but this seems like it might be exce...

Think I'm sorted. I've heard back from Trading Post Supply and apparently i'm still getting mine! (They've been really good with correspondence by the way, much appreciated.) Might have a couple more on the way now too as I was internet shopping instead of working, but it's really hard to tell if pe...

Anyone have any suggestions on where I can unearth one of the Delica ZDPs? I preordered one a couple months ago, but it's beginning to look unlikely that it will ever get to me. I'm jealous of all you who are already playing with this beauty!

You didn't mention the cricket. I got one just over a week ago, and I think it's beautiful. Very sheeple friendly, cost effective and just disappears in my back pocket. Don't even know it's there till i need to cut something, then it works like a charm.

I'm anxiously awaiting the one I preordered in early/mid april. Ordered mine through Trading Post Supply. Anyone ever used them before? I've had excellent email communication from them trying to keep me up to date. Sounds like the demand is greater than the supply, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed ...

The company I ordered from said they were expecting them in next Tuesday. He also mentioned that his supplier had loads and loads of preorders, but not to worry, I was one of the first! Sounds to me that these are going to go like hotcakes....

Funny how exciting it can be waiting for a new knife. this is why it's great to order them before going on holidays. you're away from home, so they're actually waiting for you! I think the endura will grow on my, and I have (i think, it's been awhile) a delica zdp on the way... It's been a knife spe...

My new knives!!

Just got back from a nice week's holiday, and waiting for me were a waved endura and a PE cricket. To everyone on the forum, there's something horrible about getting home from vacation, being exhausted and knowing you have to work the next day. I found having two :spyder: 's waiting for me really he...

This is my problem! And if I get a dodo, it's more expensive, but I could probably convince myself that it's ok to get a waved endura and say a dragonfly or cricket or meerkat or salsa or...... i need to win the lottery! Oh, and did i mention a g10 meadowlark? ;)

want a new knife

It's been over three months since my last purchase, and that's just way to long. There's a delica ZDP on the way when they ship, but i've been looking at knives, and my wish list just keeps on growing. It now includes the following: SS Cricket (it's cute!) Navigator 2 Waved Endura (I don't have an E...

Thanks everyone for your help! I've ordered myself a plain edge black dodo, and I can't wait till it get's here :D . I'll try and borrow my friend's digital camera and get some pics up when it arrives.

I'm getting more and more excited about it. The waiting get's so hard....
