Fair comment - I'm happy to send it to Sal if he wants to have a look at it, although from Creepo's comments I wonder if it's just an older example with a few issues that have subsequently been fixed.

Thanks for all the comments and interest. The knife sits in the cabin most of the time, so it's not constantly wet, and in fact over the Christmas and New Year period it's been up at the house so it's been in a warm dry environment.

It doesn't look to me as if it's marine growth or algae, and it ...

Tasman Salt in H1 - 3 years at sea

Thought it might be of interest to post these pics of my H1 Spyderco Tasman Salt, after 3 years of daily use on a sea fishing boat. I keep it open and close at hand in the cabin in case of accidental rope/limb entanglement.
