Blade materials

I have a Delica and I am having trouble researching information about the metal used in the blade and the alloys used to "strengthen" the blade.

Can anyone help me with this or refer me to any websites? Or are there any books that I could purchase?

knife comparision

I own a few schrade knives which are made from "schrade+" steel it's a high carbon alloy though I don't know what other metals are dissolved in the mix.

Does anyone know how the schrade brand compares in strength to spyderco knives?
