I have looked at these many times, and decided if this was a spyderedge, I would have gotten 2. But, I just couldn't warm up to the combo edge. Probably my loss. :(
On a side note, I would love a orange handle/black blade (plain or SE) for carving pumpkins.

Got a hold of a woman there, and she looked it up, and said 'it looks like it will go out tomorrow'... I have the feeling they misplaced my order. Oh well, as long as it shows.

Strangely, I bought a Delica on Sunday, and I recieved no shipping email and on the site it is still not marked as shipped.
I thought this was strange, as I have ordered many times before and got a delivery conf# the same day. So, I sent an email last night just to make sure everything was ok, and ...

I like modding stuff. :D These were 1st time attempts at a Delica, and a way for me to check out ZDP. That's why I let them go cheap.

Now that comparison of the Native and GB isn't exactly fair, as thats a 1st or 2nd Gen GB. The spine and liners on those were way thicker than the current models. Now that isn't to say that the Striders are not beasts, the AR/GB definitely are, But th SnG is pretty normal sized unless you ...

I have, twice. Once it was an online store that gave me the run around for 2 months about diamond rods for the sharpmaker, paypal investigated, and gave me a full refund. The second time was a forum deal, paypal denied that claim saying that it cannot get get involved if it's not a legitimate store ...

Salsa vertical play?

Is there a way to fix vertical play on a Ti Salsa? Does it have a concentric pivot,
or would ending the lockbar help some? Thanks!

Sweet! Thanks, I was worried that since the Szabofly got pushed back that this might have been scrapped. Good to know that it will still be made someday.

Mini-fly Stil a go?

I noticed that the picture of the Mini-fly had been removed from the post that had it, and was wondering if this was still intended to be released? Or has the idea been scrapped? Thanks! :spyder:

Hmm, I'm not sure. My lil' temp is great, hasn't chipped or even dulled and I've used it on plastic, cardboard and rope, where as I have a BM 630 which gets nicks in it sharpened any lower than 25 deg. And that is a much thicker blade.
So maybe it depends on the blade geometry? As far as I'm ...

I have and use both the Lansky, and the Sharpmaker. On most of my knives, I'll use the lansky to reprofile at 17 deg, then use the sharpmaker at 20(40) deg, to set the edge. Works great for me. And to answer the question, it depends what your doing. If it's just a touch up, get a sharpmaker, nothing ...

Yeah I had the same problem, it went away after a breaking in period, and I changed my closing technique. I just pinch with my thumb and forefinger and use my middle finger to push the bar over. It seems much easier.

New Rainbow Spyderfly?

I was just looking in the catalog and saw that the "Rainbowfly" was listed with VG10! Is this a misprint or true? I have one of the first runs, and it is 440c. Were they changed to VG10 at some point? Thanks!
