wonderful!

I.V.

cool, I understand that many people want to practice their basic openings and closings etc... and the majority - correctly, do not follow MBC principles. Which of course is fine lol, to each their own. I am glad that you did not take offense at my comments as none were intended.

As to the ...

Please speak for yourself...

i realize that the use of an actual non sharpened steel blade makes the feel of the trainer identical to that of the live blade in every aspect but the sad truth is most people would rather cut themselves a few times than spend the same amount of money on a drone as they did on the actual knife.

Amanda does it again!! - Sal give her a raise!!

I guess that I can only say, Amanda is an incredibly valuable asset to the company.

I called, apparently right before she was leaving on vacation, and was looking for an obscure item. She found it and even mailed it on her way out the door, was very, very generous on the price...

Amanda, thanks ...

Wow!

Greetings all,

I just got my new Walker in the mail, and Holy frijole's batman, this is a beaut! The fit and finish are fabulous, the action was a little tight at first but about 15 or 20 inertial openings worth and it was like butta'

It wasn't as blue as I expected but more of a blue/gray ...

mods for tip up carry

I recently was reading the forum, and saw someone who said they modified their spydies' clip placement for tip up carry, or carry the way they wanted it. Who was it, and how do you tap out the frame?

lemme know

well, and then...

Dodo,

I just tried the heating thing, and while it discolor the whole clip, it also ruined the heat treating.. now the metal is kinda annealed, and somewhat soft. I am gonna try to re-heat treat it and quench it as I would a forged blade... and hopefully it will regain some hardness. however the ...

Well, I would say that all of them looked great, and would have loved to be here for the vesuvius - I am hopeful that Sal will see the loyalty, and keep chuging away with occasional gems like that for us.

one can hope..

LMAO!!!

Michael, I am sorry, but when I woke up the morning after Studio 54 died, all of my shiny polyester pants had been donated... But I was able to come up with one leisure suit. However I will be arrested for wearing it... and wont have to worry about the knife.

thanks for the guffaw

I would love to find a adherent flexible coating to do one side .. I don't care about the side facing my jeans..

I dunno, seems like it is quite a hassle for a simple request.. one that I thought would be a no-brainer... but it has been quite a workout..lol

Forum Knives?

I have read of several references to "forum Knives" and I am hoping that this is not just a rumor? Could it be true that we of the forum are graced with "special runs" of knives from the factory?

forgive my naivete' as I have only been part of the forum for a month or so now.. but the ...

there are worse things I could do...

Zack,

thanks, I will give that a shot.. see what shapes up. I may just end up bead blasting it and calling it a day. either way it will be much better than the factory bright shiny finish that calls out "hey!! you! look at the knife in my pocket!!"

ya know?

thanks

no luck

Alrighty,

after 2 weeks of working with the people from Caswell Plating, I have given up. I had purchased 2 extra clips for my yojimbo, to try this out.

I followed their instructions to the letter, including sanding the clip down and placing it in an acid bath. but to no avail, all I have now is ...

it was almost 12 years ago, but my recollection of it was a plain edge .. but now that I think about it .. I am not so sure. I have had EDCs in both, and back then I mainly used 50/50 edges.. as I worked. Back then my focus was much more on fixed blades, and much less on the EDCs. I was young ...

The old faithful C19G -

A long time ago, in a land far, far away, I accidently dropped my spydie into a wall that we had just drywalled up in a new house. Of course I realized this well after the fact, and it would not have been possible to tear down the wall. I figured I would get another. Long and short, at the time i ...
