Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?

Although it is not my favorite, I can't see where the company would go wrong with using 204P or 20CP. Essentially M390 performance at domestic cost. I reckon that would keep many average users happy. Now, for complete lunatics like me, they've got waaay too much chromium lol.

Re: Bottom of pocket/clipless carry ?

For some reason (which I can't really remember) I took the clip off my S90V Millie and never put it back on. And I found right away that it was actually not bad at all to carry in the front pocket of blue jeans. I don't really feel it at all, and it doesn't float around since my blue jeans fit well....

Out in the real world they are the ultimate in f*ck you style. A bit like a mullet haircut. Combining the two will drop panties for miles.....
Hmm, your first two observations, pretty good; the third, I dunno lol.

Re: Your "return ethics"?

I just returned 2 extra knives to Knifeworks. They had accidentally doubled up my order, but they hadn’t charged me for the extra knives. The knives in question were a G10 Manix 2 DLC, and a Salt 2 Wharncliffe. The only time I handled the two extra knives were to examine them and compare them to th...

Re: Your "return ethics"?

My question is not about returning knives that have an issue. It´s about the rare case where you maybe have to decide if you like a Spyderco by just seeing it in "real life" or if you rather buy a different model. And you´d return it of course absoultely unused other then having held and opened/clo...

Re: I wonder if you guys would be interested in a Lil' Para3

I like the other way better. Is be up for an XL Mili. 4.5-5 inch blade in a 5.5-5.75 inch handle I like the way you think lol. And yeah I'd have to concur with the thoughts above that say, nah, Para3 is small enough as it is. I currently own one, and I like it a lot (it really is jewel-like) but it...

I hope a Ranger Green K390 variant comes out. It would be epic in so many ways.
Lord, that is such a good idea. And it is true that, outside of the Rex45, it's been rather quiet on the Millie front. Changing tastes, who knows?

Re: Help identifying?

Looks like (to my relatively untrained eye) some Delicas, some Dragonflys, prob some Police, maybe a PAC Salt, some Grasshopers (?) And perhaps a couple o' few Endurances? Nice little collection at any rate!

EDIT: I take it back; what I thought were Police now look more like Enduras to me.

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...

Some people here seem to know a lot about BBS. I don’t. I know only that I will have to pay top-dollar plus shipping and insurance for a Spydie (I’ve done so half a dozen times). And I know that I’ll need to deal directly with W&R if I get a sub-standard Spydie (I haven’t). So, to all you people wh...

Lock stick is an issue that can be dealt with, trust me. My 52100 Para3 had some terrible sticking, drop of liquid silicone, POOF.

Re: K390 & Corrosion

I don’t have k390 but I do have a 52100 Para 3, and I believe 52100 is the most corrosive of all the Spydercos steels so far? I live in the south (Georgia) where the humidity is wretched and carry this knife as a daily user, and I’ve had no corrosion issues so far. I just keep a little Daiwa reel o...

Re: ‘Carbides in Maxamet’ article in the Scienceofsharp

Larger carbides are more likely to fracture or separate from the matrix from applied stress. The article provides some fun images for sure. I wouldn't say that it shows that carbides do not "tear out" however. The images are showing the carbides that didn't fall out, obviously. He is more demonstra...

Re: ‘Carbides in Maxamet’ article in the Scienceofsharp

Interesting; so essentially, carbides (in Maxamet anyway) do not "tear out", either through normal sharpening or normal use?
