I share your fascination wih tang engravings, although unfortunately I'm not smart enough to get the whole pic posting thing. One thing I've noticed is that sometimes engravings have a certain color cast to them, for example my M390 PM2 looks to have a kinda blueish tone to it, and my 52100 PM2 has ...

I've actually owned a Para3 CE (not any more, but I did) and I thought it was great. Just enough plain edge for any task I needed it for, plus just enough serration to power through tough stuff. So my view is, if you think you might benefit from that sort of thing, you will.

Kind of like that guy The Peacant or something like that, used to post here often and carried like 4 knives, 4 multitools and 3 flashlights everyday haha. He used to contribute all the time for a few years and he's disappeared as well. All those pics of hawkbills and multitools just petered out lol...
