Re: PM2
I actually started with the Para 3; while it’s a great knife and I find really nothing wrong with it, I did start to want something a little bigger. The PM2 fits me perfectly, now I own several, and feel like I don’t need any other (type of) knife. The 52100 is my personal fave - I love the CF scale...

Re: My first Spyderco!
You made a good choice on a sweet little blade! Next you should get a Para Military 2, so you’ll have a “full size” instrument.

Oh jeez, I think a G-10 Endura would cause my gaze to drift from the Military family and me to finally pull the trigger on an Endura! Something like dark gray...

Re: Can I ask you lot something?
I feel cool and hopefully I look cool when I middle-finger flick my knives open  Hahaha, I'd say 90% of the time I'm a middle finger flicker myself. Feel like I have such a secure grip on any Spyderco, and it's pretty much effortless on most models. A lot of my friends/colleagues at first, th...

Re: Another Sharpening Thread.
I recommend THK diamond pastes to basically everybody. They cost next to nothing on ebay and you get 5, 3.5, 2.5, 1.5, 1, 0.5 and 0.25 micron pastes in a set of 7 for like $10 . They cut faster than any other paste I have used and are very consistent. You also want to get a 2000ish grit stone (or e...

Re: Flytanium Scales Install
Just put some Putman aluminum scales on one of my Para3s. It was much easier to disassemble and reassemble than a Para2. Took aabout 15min, in large part due to not having to remove the *#*! Lanyard tube!image.jpeg I’m confused, and I’m sure it’s just bc I’m rather thick, but why don’t you have to ...

Re: New Mules coming?
I think a stellite mule would be interesting. There's a lot of speculation with only a couple of decent reviews. Some people claims it's awesome, some claim it sucks. A 15V mule would also be interesting as would rex 121. S390 and S690 would probably raise some eyebrows. I wonder about Vanax and wh...

Re: Which steel for red handles?
AEB-L? You guys like whittling hairs and shaving your face with a folding knife that much? Lol A lot of guys seem to like 52100 and Super Blue... I understand those moreso, for different reasons. 52100 is an excellent workhorse steel with impressive toughness and apex stability, SuperBlue is capabl...

FRN may seem a bit plastic-y and even cheap compared to G10 or carbon fiber, but no one can claim it isn’t tough stuff!

Re: Do you ever wish you only had 1 knife?
Good question, but NOPE. That said, if I had bought my PM2 52100 before any of my others I may not have bought many or any more. It’s just a razor-sharp jewel; I may have to marry it one day
