I need to oil the washers of my tenacious, i have wd-40 and household oil, which would be the best to use

I bought my tenacious a few months ago. I love it! i carry it everyday! but it began to rattle at the bottom of the handle, i tightened the screws but it didn't help. Does anybody have any suggestions?

he is 14 and been around knives for a long time so he knows about safety and all that. We live in nebraska so im pretty sure it would be okay but im not sure
