Keep in mind that I'm trying to find the right tool for serrations . The 204 looks like a great assisted sharpener for PEs, but the 701 ...

I reasoned, if my chef's knife is going to last for decades I should buy one I like to look at. So recently I bought a Shun 8" Chef's knife, which is a VG-10 core with SUS410 "Damascus" layering on the sides. I like the handle shape and it looks very well constructed, I am confident the knife will ...

I'm about ready to say that I don't like the painted clips ... Makes the knife look old before it's time ... I dunno .... I've gotta give this some more thought though. I'm not sure I like shiny either .... see ... more thought ..

Thanks for the info guys, I think I'll get one with a nice Blue handle to ride in opposite pocket of my Delica. I've actually been considering replacing my Delica with a Calypso JR., Vesuvius, or Native (don't have any one of the three currently). Any thoughts on any of those in PE vs. the Delica ...

Just curious how the spyderco kitchen knives compare to knives from established kitchen cutlery companies like wusthof, henckels, global. I'm sure Spydercos are better than the stamped lower end, but how about the forged lines like classic / five star (I don't think that global has a forged line ...

To clarify. When you use a stone, you get the angle needed and push the blade edge first.
When you strop, it is the opposite, you "pull" with the spine first, or "edge trailing", and you keep the proper angle (usually close to what you used on the stones). This is usually done on canvas, leather or ...

Serrations remove material in a hurry, they work better on anything tough.
Unfortunately they can be too destructive to softer materials or in making precise cuts. IMHO, you need both. That's why I think the dyad was a neat design.

Kopa release
Has anyone obtained a Kopa yet? Will they be available from major online stores or are they so limited that they will have to be special ordered from B&M stores?
I already missed out on a chance at the UK Penknife.
