#themeatmanchallenge

Revisiting Meat Man’s bucket challenge today with my Resilience. Only this time I was able to get the handle too. No visible damage, and still popping arm hairs along the entire edge.

Re: What am I doing wrong with the sharpmaker?

This is a great video for tips with the sharpmaker from a member here(Surfingringo). One of the best videos out there that helped me. Give it a watch. Totally worth it. :spyder:

Re: Delica 4 Glow-In-The-Dark FRN

So it says direct from Sportsman’s Supply via Spyderco. Does that mean it is a distributor exclusive, and may possibly be at all the dealers? Like the cruwear and teal delicas were?

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

AEB-L Urban. Freshly sharpened. My first ever freehand hair whittling edge achievement. [img] Nice!! Great job! I'm yet to do so free hand, but was pretty excited when I did so off the Sharpmaker. Such a great feeling. Thanks Rick! Does feel good. Satisfying. Now I get to dull it this weekend, and ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I’m very glad for you that you got your knife back. I unfortunately know the feeling. I lost my pacific salt PE (1st Spyderco) and a freshly tuned up and sharpened Benchmade 530 was stolen within six days of each other. That was a bad week. :( Thank you! And sorry for your loss. Bad week indeed. Ca...

Re: Spydercos self-loosening pivots

This has happened to me before as well on the military. Lost the screw. Charlyn from warranty had me send some photos (angles she specified) of the knife to her, and she mailed me two replacements(one backup if needed in the future) and suggested blue loctite be applied to prevent it happening again...

Re: A tribute to "Crazy deals @ ......"

I am sorry for my involvement in the continued derailment of crazy sierra. That thread existed long before I came here, and I’m upset that it had to be closed. Perhaps had I not posted, it would’ve gotten back on track and remained active. But all I did I think was add fuel by giving an opportunity ...

.... I also think it’s funny that none of you were bothered by another user listing their issues with SMKW at length. I haven’t seen a peep out of anybody about that being off-topic, even though that user wasn’t mentioning any deal. ... I can’t speak for others, but the reason I think Vivi’s post d...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

That's terrible! Hope it turns up soon. :( Ugh I had a Spyderco stolen, it was my first one, a Stainless Jester that I loved :( Such a creeping, skin crawling feeling to have something taken from you... I'm sorry to hear of it. Man, that´s bad , I am really sorry for you! Hope you´ll get that Endur...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Currently none. :( Started today with my vtoku2 Endura. It’s gone. Pretty sure a coworker took it. Have spent the better part of my afternoon and into this evening reviewing camera footage. Had it clipped at 2:09 pm, gone at 2:17 pm. Only us two in the room. It’s a giant gymnasium, and he goes off c...

Re: Anything that can replace Chaparral?

I don’t have any experience with the Chap, so it’s hard for me to say if something is “better”. But have you considered getting a different flavor Chap? Like the carbon fiber, raffir noble, or a stepped titanium? I personally favor the looks raffir noble.

Re: Ouch

Update: Went to doc before work today, and she held off on the stitches. Basically what RustyIron said. Apparently I did a decent job with the butterfly strips and it already started to heal and stays closed now. Just a cleaning and some new steri-strips glued on. Should be good in 8 days when they ...
