Re: Project Obsidian - M4 DLC / Jade dye project

Man! That set took some time and dedication to all come together. I agree with Mushroom. Great vision and execution. But you’re missing my favorite iteration, the Native5!

Re: Damascus UK Penknife UKPK

I would like to see a polished linerless g10. Preferably a dark maroon. I think that would look awesome with some Damascus. Black hardware would put it over the top.

Re: GAME & KNIFE

I play a mobile game called CrushThemAll. Lots of characters, but one stands out and makes me think of Spyderco.

His sword used to have a better spydie hole before I upgraded it.

Re: Which Spyderco would you be?

I’m basically a glorified janitor(Facilities Manager/Building Operator), so I guess that would make me a medium benchstone. You know, I keep things working and can repair damage. I am also considered essential.

All black Karahawk at SMKW for only $162. Maybe not the most popular, but $80 below map is crazy

Re: Swayback

I’m not sure if Spyderco has done that before or not. It’s definitely interesting though! Here’s a video I saw a few days ago that has a Swayback disassembled: https://youtu.be/azRdVSwso60 Whoa! There is more going on than I realized! How on earth did this come in at such a low street price? Also t...

Re: Swayback

Have been carrying mine since I got it Monday. Still can’t get over the phenomenal action of this knife. It’s just soooo smooth, yet locks up so tight and secure. And during some admiration/fondle time just now, I noticed that there are TWO internal stop pins that are opposite and offset from each o...

Re: Blade HQ copper rex45 pm2

Wow, I must be the one odd ball...I have no interest in this knife based on model, materials and weight! You’re not alone. I have been there and done that with flytanium scales. Basically a smooth pocket brick that makes your hands stink. I never got any patina because I could never use it for more...

Re: Swayback

OK, there seems to be some confusion about the clip I put on my Swayback, it IS a stock Spyderco clip off the Nirvana (model C199). It is definitely steel and not titanium (a magnet sticks to it quite nicely), and the reason it matches the Swayback so well is it came out of the same Taichung factor...

Re: Swayback

With a Nirvana clip installed: https://i.imgur.com/ptaoNmf.jpg If someone wants to install a Lynch clip, it will work but the top end of the clip will extend past the end of the knife a fair bit, and that was a deal-breaker for me. I actually picked up a very nice REK clip and am having trouble mou...

Re: Swayback

Any lock stick or lock sliding? No stick at all whatsoever. I don’t know about sliding. Is that like the spine whack failure? It will not fail with a half hearted whack on my knee. But that’s as far as I’m going to take it. Or do you mean travel when pressure on the lockbar? It locks up around 30%,...

I think this is one design that will need to be handled and used to appreciate. Most of Spydercos knifes could be viewed as weird looking. But those who know.....

Re: Swayback

Wife texted mine was delivered, so I took a lunch break to go home and get it. Out of the box impression...WOW! The mirrored stone wash is even nicer than the Maxamets I have. Action is literally smooth as glass, with a superb lockup. Closest I have to compare it to is probably the lil nilakka or GB...
