Re: Pick a first Benchmade
The two Benchmades I can recommend are the Presidio 2 and the Mini Presidio 2. The Presidio 2 was why I sold the Shaman. The Mini Presidio 2 really isn't mini. Something like 3.3 inch blade. I've got the aluminium handle version of each (Well, the bronze handle M4 Shot Show version of the Mini). If ...

Re: Why can't we have an upgraded UKPK?
I would also purchase a G10 UKPK. Almost bought one of the HH ones but held back because I've never purchased from overseas before. If they're doing another run, I may just do it. I wouldn't care what color of g10 or what steel. Just needs to be g10. I've been building a pretty good modern slipjoint...

Re: I'm sick of issues
Thanks Sal. Yeah it really isn't that bad and I'm sure if I had more patience with these types of things I could just fix. When I said Issues, I wasn't referring to anything specific. Just seems like lately something goes wrong anytime I do more than carry and use my knives. Sharpening to tuning to ...

Re: Large slipjoint Spydie, anyone?
Get me a large (or biggish) spydie slippy with a strong backspring and not FRN and not a sprint and I'm so down. Would still likely buy an frn but enthusiasm would be lower.

Re: Talking about your traditional knives
Ugh I haven't bought a GEC since I bought 4 different Pembertons earlier last year. It's getting to me. BUT I bought this. A modern a traditional, a Tony Bose design. JE Made Zulu. My second JE Made. My first is a Lanny's Clip with a beautiful desert ironwood and a handground satin blade. The backsp...

Re: Liner Lock Failure??
I really like a good liner lock. The ones on militaries are some of the best. My Polestar also had a good one though the action wasn't anywhere near a Military. Spyderco really does know how to make a good liner lock. Honestly, liner lock with phosphor bronze washers is a folding knife to me. How I ...

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
Knives to compete with Civivi, Bestech, etc. So, nice g10, more bd1, thin grinds. I know it can be done. Obvioysly I don't know if it is worthwhile focusing on competing in that price point but hey. Also, what Vivi said about fixed blades. Or even make them 40-50$$. I think they'd likely be good sel...

Re: Sage 5.2
I've been over the compression lock in my collection. Just kinda fell out for me the last 6 or 7 months. But, I do want to try the button compression lock. I love button locks and I think a button with the compression lock behind it instead of a plunge lock would solve some issues plunge locks may h...
