I have to say, this is quite a good looking knife. I originally thought I'd be swapping the scales but now I'm not so sure.

DLT got this to me quick. As my first time handling a Shaman, I'm gonna have to get used to a couple things, and maybe find a deep carry clip, but these scales are simply amazing.

Intentional is artificial. They could make them until they stop selling well then disco’ them like other models. Limited does not have to mean 600 or 1200, etc. Those are arbitrary limits, not limits due to lack of materials or weather conditions or whatever. We will have to agree to disagree on ...

Something I've noticed on my Domino, or at least I think I've noticed, is that the detent ball is on the steel lock bar insert, which is technically replaceable. Is this a common practice? It seems like because the lock bar is serviceable then the detent ball should be as well, right?

Taichung knives are, as everyone else has said, some of the best Spyderco produces. Also, odds are high you aren't buying directly from Spyderco but using some retailer, in which case your dollars are going into the US economy anyways(assuming you're using a US based retailer).
