Re: A resurrected lower cost One-Eyed Jack, please

In the spirit of the rubicon 2, I would keep the bolster, lose the file work, change the g10 to solid black and call it the black jack. I think it would sell.

S30v. I like my serrated edges ffg, which H1 doesn’t do. Vg10 is ok, but not my favorite.

Re: Knives I wish I had bought two of

Don’t want a second of anything. The ones that I do have 2: k390 urban, super blue caly jr. and Q ball. Mostly, I don’t think I will need 2 as spyderco always has something cool around the corner.

I don't think the Chef is going anywhere anytime soon. It seems to have a very strong following. I imagine the demand for it remains pretty high...

Re: LC200N Dealer Exclusive

From what I’ve heard, there wasn’t a CPM Cruwear mule; it was non powdered cruwear. I could be wrong though. That might be right. It’s not listed as cpm on the wiki page. It also says the mules were recalled for poor heat treat. Of course they didn’t do a 10v mule and went right to the K2. http://w...

Chubby started to gather friends. The v4 mid-tech (version 4) on bottom arrived yesterday. It will get some pocket time for a bit.

Dunno. 4v, M390, or CPM Cruwear maybe? Not sure if there was anything in any of them prior to exclusives.
Pretty sure the mules were first in almost all the steels except lc200n. I think the tusk was first for that one. The mule and never summer came later.

I might be more excited if I actually knew what the exclusive really is. I don’t get excited by these vague weird close ups and no real details.

Re: September 11, 2001: Never Forget!

The start of some very dark times in this country. I’m the opposite. I look forward to forgetting. Hopefully one of the perks of old age. Wish this date would just pass like any other. It's one of those things that will never just pass. My mother says that the JFK and John Lennon assassinations are...

Re: A question or two about the Li'l Temperance 3

I agree with what was said above. I didn’t have any issue with my pocket clip. This is designed as a self defense knife. The blade is thicker than say a pm2. It’s not designed to be a thin behind the edge slicer but it will cut. The compression lock in mine is really nice in that it has a short but ...

That is very cool. 4v seems like a perfect steel for this beefy knife.

Great feel of the carbon fiber, super smooth action (can’t believe there’s no washers!), razor shar...

Had the same thought. Was enjoying the techno and thought it needed a friend. Found the chef at knife depot. This should hold me over until the swayback arrives.

The paramilitary 2 would be my first choice. Police (especially the k390 model) is also good.
The shaman is good too.
