Final update sent my knives in and got them back, they were cleaned and the rust removed, the informed me the only steel that is guaranteed not to rust is h1. They also included some cleaning compound. I'll be carrying my knives agaim, we will see what happens.

If I'm not mistaken wd40 is water disperser. This can actually lead to rust is some cases because it pushes the water into the tiny low spots and then sits over the top it and traps any moisture leaving you you pin spots. Hey all, quick update, I talked with spyderco and I am sending my knives in for inspection, fingers crossed. However it might have just been due to the humidity In my area as I observed some spots on my kitchen knife and my ESC. Worse case is i get the knives back, degrease, and boil the metal.

Thanks for the overwhelming response and help, I plan on cleaning the knives real good and doing what i normally do for a bit longer, so far it's only the rust that im disappointed in but I will figure it out
