Re: Which steel has impressed you lately?

K390 continues to impress me. My P4 arrived uncommonly dull, and a 15dps reprofile went surprisingly easy, and such a keen edge! I have not used a steel that holds such a fine edge for so long, remaining shaving sharp noticeably longer than M4 in my experience. I've spent the most time with the Poli...

Re: Gentleman EDC / Groomsman Gift

+1 for the Chaparral. It's a great knife for non-knife people and knife people alike. The CF version is my favorite and often my dress up carry as well as EDC. Still looks like new despite being carried loose with my keys hundreds of times.

BladeHQ has the police 4 g10/k390 for $175.
Thanks.
That's probably my last purchase of 2019. It's been an expensive year.
And hopefully the best! :spyder: :spyder: Seriously, this is one to regret not picking up IMHO.

Hi Ramzar,

At this time, the plan is to try to set a 30% off MAP. It's still a nightmare scenario to try to please everyone on pricing. You kind understand and patience is appreciated.

Re: Sage 5 Lightweight

Sage 3 had two handle material versions as well... G10 and CF laminate.

This knife is not the same design as the Para3, but I would have expected the price to be more in line with the Chaparral FRN vs CF.

Regardless, it should be in my mailbox right now :)

Re: Liquid Cobra is making some knives..

Hi forum folks. I haven’t been as active on this forum as of late because I’ve been busy trying to learn how to make my own knives. I’ve made 3 so far and I thought I would share them here for anyone interested. Honestly, it is a very fun hobby that I find incredibly rewarding. Very nice, LC. How d...

Re: Sage 5 Lightweight

Very interested in this one, half ounce lighter than the already pretty light standard version. Being production I'll probably wait until my favorite dealer gets them.

I prefer the two screw look as well. I'm guessing this change simplified production for them.

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Also, Dick's Sporting Goods has a couple of Spydercos on sale right now. They have a Kapara for $150. Dick's is also offering 20% off thru today. I checked and Spyderco is not excluded from the promotion. I put the Kapara in my cart but it didn't calculate the discount. I contacted Dick's and they ...

Re: Fluted CF Native 5 LC200N

The FRN models do not have a back spacer, the G10/CF/Ti models do. The lock bar then? I understand that the backspacer will need to be retained in the CF model I'm just wonder what this issue is with the fit? Looks like it wont effect you if you are using the original backspacer: https://forum.spyd...

Re: Dear Sal, a question about that floating stop pin..

Speaking strictly for myself it is often that the obvious solution takes time to come to you :) Agreed! :) The ability for the blade stop to take a significant amount of load and NOT dislodge is an imperative of most folding knives. So, before we had a better understanding of materials, it was prob...

Slysz Bowie. I don't carry mine as much as I used to when I knew I could buy another for less than $500 :/ I paid about $200 for mine BNIB before MAP, and before Nick Shabazz elevated it to grail status and then it was disco'd.
