Re: $300 for a new EDC spydie or two
My $300 Spydercos are some of my favorite knives. The one that stands out above the rest though is the Slysz Bowie. That is one fantastic knife in every way! I agree with those that suggested the Techno, as it too is a very nice knife for considerably less money, but the Slysz Bowie is my suggestion...

I know that exact problem all too well. That's what Spyderco does to us...they make too many knives I HAVE TO own. :pspyderwolf wrote:I'm drooling over a Mule, but my fiance is starting to get a spyder allergy, she sees them all over the house .Maybe next year...

Thank you spyderwolf! This is my first Mule. I am really liking the size and the thin blade is the best slicing fixed blade I have ever owned. :) :spyder:spyderwolf wrote:Wow!Thanks for sharing your great work, xplorer! The Mule is my favorite fixed blade.

Re: Mule Team 21
Thank you! The Kydex is .080". I considered using .060 for a sheath this small but since nearly all of the sheaths I own are .080 I went with what I am most used to.Skidoosh wrote:Nice work. What thickness is the Kydex?

Re: Mule Team 21
Well, I finished my sheath for the Mule 21. It was a bit of a project because I decided to make a press for the Kydex instead of buying a press or using a bench vise. I'm glad I took the time. Now that the press is done, making more sheaths is going to be a lot easier in the future. Here's the press...

Re: Mule Team 21
I love copper and green micarta. Very, very nice! Do you think that the copper added any noticeable weight? It is a bit heavier than steel. I have a piece of 1/8 " thick copper plate that i was gonna use to make some scales for a swick. Thanks for all of the nice comments guys!! bearfacekiller...

Re: Spyderco Outdoors!
All of the knives in my collection are used in outdoors adventures of some sort. I always have a Spyderco with me when I hit any trail for any reason. Here's a few shots I've taken with my Spyders in the wild... http://i.imgur.com/Ogn4AxMh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XEFhkGzh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/fpPHk...

Re: Southard Positron (Ion) Status Check
I picked mine up today and I love it. It has better flipping action than I anticipated. The fit and finish are just as great as I have come to expect from Taichung. This is going to be a nice light-weight addition to my collection. I can see paring this with my Bradley Bowie fixed blade as well as u...

Re: Mule Team 21
The Mule Team 21 is my first Mule. Receiving it inspired me to attempt to make my first custom scales. Since I've been doing wood working as a hobby since I was a kid I figured I could probably pull this off, but you never know until you know....ya know? So I ordered some Micarta and some copper pie...
