Re: Help me pick my Xmas gift
Since you mention the Ti Pingo, you might want to know that until the end of Cyber Monday it is one sale for $179.99 Canadian = $135 USD at Warriors and Wonders. I don't know where you live, but they do ship to Canada and the US. I don't need one myself, but that's a pretty smokin' deal.

Thank you very much BTG! :D :D :D
I was definitely not smart enough to figure out your clue. However, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

Re: Any Non-Locking Salts?
I already asked Sal for this; however, no response so far. Of course, things do change. :D To me, the most obvious choice to keep manufacturing more simple and profitable would be to fuse the existing, UKPK handle (with the 1/2 and 1/2 choil for added safety), the existing UKPK slipjoint design and ...

Re: What are your favorite Spydercos of 2015
Okay. Favorite High-End Beauty: PITS Folder, which is super-unique and well-executed. Favorite Work Horse: Black Blade, SpyderEdge Pacific Salt: it is maintenance free, rustproof, big and cool. Favorite Sprint Run: HAP40 Burnt Orange Endura 4: a classic design, with a nice color and crazy super-stee...

Re: Best Lube for no-washer FRN Knives...
So far I'm not seeing much of a consensus. I actually believe that perhaps "no lube" is best for these knives. Why? Here's the story. I put Gunex 2000 on my Delica 4 black combo blade, Matriarch 2 black blade w. Emerson Wave and Endura 4 HAP40 and they all got WAY smoother. In fact, after ...

Best Lube for no-washer FRN Knives...
When I lube my knives that have normal PB washers on the pivots, I use gun oil or Ballistol. However, I'm curious what people consider to be the best lube, if anything, for models that have an FRN handle, no liners and no washers (like the Native 5 and Pacific Salt). I am also interested in why you ...

Re: Does anyone else wish that all Lightweight versions came with the deep carry wire clip?
There have been some threads on how to do it. You basically just drop the clip in the ferric chloride for about 1 minute, and it's done. Thanks for the information gbelleh. :) It does take the shine off the clip nicely. I was hoping it would also darken the metal. I wonder if an etched clip could t...

On my real one, the lettering is a golden color. On the one you found online it looks black; therefore, I do not believe it is real.utor wrote:Hey Guys,

You have my attention. Please tell me more and, of course, without pics it never happened! :Dgbelleh wrote:it's super easy to etch the shiny clips with ferric chloride. I've done that with several of mine, and it makes a really nice, discreet, matte finish.

Re: Spyderco Lightweight Native 5 -2015 Forum Knife- Review
I have one of these 2015 Forum knives. It is nice, EXCEPT the lock bar spring rattles in both the open and closed position. For others that have this knife, do yours rattle too, or did I just get unlucky?

Re: Does anyone else wish that all LW versions came with the deep carry wire clip?
I mostly prefer not having a deep carry clip, so it is easier to grab the knife. With that being said, I like having a few knives with a deep carry clip available for times when having a visible knife isn't what I want. Unfortunately, most of the Spyderco deep carry wire clips are silver and shiny. ...

Hi PM1, Thanx for the comments. sal Thanks for making such incredible knives Sal! It is particularly nice that so many of your models are left-hand friendly and that you show mercy to Spyderco fans who live in and travel to knife-unfriendly jurisdictions. :D I am especially looking forward to the n...
