Re: First Spyderco(s)
Currently I use either a Lansky system that I've modified for my needs, or the same waterstones and strops that use for chisels and plane irons. All those use flat surfaces so don't work if the blade's concave. I quite enjoy sharpening, and dealing with these knives isn't going to be a problem one w...

Re: First Spyderco(s)
There's a slight flaw though. The dealer tells me the knives should have been sharp on receipt, and has offered to sharpen them for me. I'm not sure where to go with that, normally I sharpen all my own stuff and I wouldn't expect a factory knife to be sharp to my standards. I don't think I want the ...

Re: First Spyderco(s)
Don't get me started. I'm already looking at the Roadie, and someone posted a picture of an Urban with wharncliffe blade as well (although I think that's no longer available?).DutchBlades wrote:Enjoy and I'm certain it won't be your last!

First Spyderco(s)
Hi, New Spyderco owner here. I've just taken delivery of my first Spyderco for myself, a current model UK Penknife with FRN scales and flat ground drop point blade. You could call me a convert because I wasn't originally a fan of the typical Spyderco appearance or of larger knives. What finally sold...

Re: Fake Spin
Check with ebay.es but I believe Ebay in general refunds fakes without need to return them. Instead the purchaser should destroy the fake. If that's the case you're better to let the sale go ahead, if you cancel it he'll just sell to someone else.

Re: Fake Spin
If it's really a fake you're better letting the sale go ahead, then make the claim. Check it applies on ebay.es but I believe their rules on fakes are that it must be refunded by the seller and destroyed by the purchaser. If the sale's cancelled, he'll just sell to someone else. Can you change your ...

Re: Poll - UKPK Sprint Steel Choice
If I were you, I would go ahead and buy a regular UKPK now, this Sprint might take a while to happen. The BD-1 steel on the production version holds a very good edge and has pretty good corrosion resistance. By the time the Sprint comes about you'll have experience with the knife format and probabl...

Re: Poll - UKPK Sprint Steel Choice
Hi, I wasn't sure if I should raise this as a separate question, but could I ask how these Sprint runs actually work? I understand they're limited production, but how are they sold .. only direct from Spyderco or can they be supplied through dealers? I'm particularly thinking about UK dealers since ...
