The knock offs could have a different texture on G10 scales, not so grippe and more rough. And the blade could be a little narrower at the knife "belly". And not smooth when you open it. Learned from other forums.

I am not quite sure either. Since it been out of stock for a long time and suddenly it shows preorder is available so I thought it should mean the new batch in coming out ...

g10 absorbs smells and is rough so it will get all nasty pluss the lock and inside will get clogged with food but its up to you.

Only you can decide how appropriate the handle color will be in your environment. Black should be the obvious choice for obscurity's sake, although the digicam pattern looks very nice in person.

Really like the look of spyderco blade with Black coating. Want to buy a DLC coated paramilitary II for daily use, cutting slicing food preparations and such things. Do any one know if the coating has bad chemicals or something that can not be used for food? Did some search online but still not have ...

Preordering is a system that is only as good as the vendor that uses it. Even then it's not great...just better than someone out in left field.

Are they the new batch just released? Several days ago it can only pre-order on amazon and wait 3-4 weeks for delivery.
