Re: Best Law Enforcement knife?

I'd go with the Spyderco Ulize but it only comes in satin plain edge. It has quite a slim profile for a folder with a 4.1" blade and weighs just 4.8 ounces. Here's a picture of it next to the Military. http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a540/RamZar/e6f88a1e550aaa70c8f58d34bbce9b59_zpsda58ba4a....

Re: Spyderco 2014 Lists: Delivered, Coming Soon & Later

Has there been an official release on the Roc folder yet? I see a few websites listing a price for it, but they don't indicate they actually have it and this thread says "Coming Soon". I don't know if there has been a delay but Sal said this elsewhere about the Roc a few weeks ago: "...

The number of search engine bots to index the new forum keeps increasing: Bing [Bot] Google [Bot] Majestic-12 [Bot] Yahoo [Bot] Internally, the Spyderco Forums server needs to perform a dynamic URL substitution when an old forum link comes in. There are many sources including perhaps http://www.phpb...

Re: Spyderco's Taichung (Taiwan) Folders

Almost sounds like if the list is for Taichung folders I should eliminate Cat, Chicago, Salsa and "S"? If you want to list just those by the folks in Taichung, then yes, those 4 should be removed from the list. The alternative would be to change the title to just say Taiwan folders. Since...

Don't forget the Mules! Couldn't tell you which ones off the top of my head, but I know at least 18 and 19 are Taichungian. I'll look it up... Aren't the Mules all fixed blade? If so, remember I restricted the list to just folders. I know these fixed blades are made in Taiwan: Bushcraft, Serrata, P...

AFAIK, everything on that list except the Cat, Chicago, Salsa, and S, were (or are) made by the folks in Taichung. Those four were/are made by another maker in Taiwan. Obviously, all Salsa, "S" and the S30V/CF Cat & Chicago folders have been discontinued. My question is whether ALL cu...

Re: Spyderco's Taichung (Taiwan) Folders

My Cat & Chicago folders are of the 440C/G-10 variety so I'm safe. What were the issues, if any, with the Salsa ones? They look like cute little folders with colors (titanium or aluminum handles), cobra hood and compression lock. There is nothing "wrong" with them. I don't recall they...
