Re: Family friendly jokes
Little Johnny’s preschool class went on a field trip to the fire station. The firefighter giving the presentation held up a smoke detector and asked the class: “Does anyone know what this is?” Little Johnny’s hand shot up and the firefighter called on him. He replied: “That’s how Mummy knows supper ...

Re: Nutritious safe low carb snacks?
I have a friend who claims pork and bear meat have worms that survive cooking but that does not sound scientific. Trichenella Spiralis, or trichina worms, won't survive freezing and they don't survive if the meat is cooked thoroughly. Over here, there are no good health officials to watch and pigs ...

Re: Benchmade Water Series (salt series?)
Benchmade doesn't run their steels hard enough, very often. Performance suffers. The biggest thing for me is that they have this weird fixation on blade to handle ratio where the blade and handle need to be as equal in length as possible. It looks attractive, but is a bad idea as there is usually no...

Re: ESEE alternative
The Cold Steel Mini Pendleton seems to be a good option for an alternative to an Izula. The Fallkniven R2 Scout (3.16") would be a good choice. So, too, would be the WM1 (2.75"Elmax) and the pocket carry only Kolt (3.35").

Nobody knows. We hope later this year, but I don't think Golden is in full swing, yet, since the expansion. I don't even know if they have finished the expansion and they are behind on a lot of promised models. We just have to be patient.

Re: Is There A Place For The "Rambo" Knife
For me, a fixed blade, like a Mora, with a 4" blade is good enough for a knife, though a camp knife for large food prep can be okay. I prefer a machete for site prep and trail clearing, a folding saw for wood, and a small hand axe (which can be an effective defense tool, also).

Re: 52100 Native Chief?
I would far and away rather have 14C28N than 52100. Same toughness, better edge retention, and it is stainless. Umm 🤔 both please 🙏 Been want a quality heat treated 14C28N Spyderco knife for a long time. I also had no clue Spyderco made a knife with 52100 steel. I’ve kind of fallen in love with kni...

Re: Family friendly jokes
In honor of 486000: Two friends were riding along on a tandem bicycle when, suddenly, the one at the front slammed on the brakes, hopped off and began letting air out of the tyres. “Hey!” the one at the back said. “What are you doing that for?!” “My seat was too high. I wanted to lower it a bit,” th...
