Re: Chaparral FRN CQI

Thanks for the response Sal. Not so much a problem. I’m comfortable tinkering just thought it was a funny coincidence that days after reading about the clip CQI I get first hand experience. I have since bent the clip back to shape and got it secured better. Such a great knife. Thank you.

Chaparral FRN CQI

In a recent post Sal had addressed the CQI of the Chaparral FRN, stating that the clip screw position was being modified. Like most who own a Chap FRN I am thoroughly pleased with it and hot not noticed any need for improvement. Then yesterday I snagged the wire clip on something and it popped off. ...

grey or bluish grey and m4 would be fantastic! But honestly will buy in any configuration.

Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?

oh man, a drop point version would be really great. I think the drop point ukpk are some of the best looking knives. Unfortunately I don't have one because Im too worried about not having a lock. Need to overcome that someday soon

Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?

All the comparisons to the chap have made me kind of want an xtra light version with the same blade stock as the chap LW. i wouldn't want JUST that option, but that added version would be really cool. Maybe a drop point version too? I know I'm getting carried away but just love the caly 3.5 platform.

Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?

Definitely looking forward to this knife. Glad to hear it will be textured similar to the Chap. Also wouldn't mind to see the same texturing as the ukpk.
Would also love to see a g10 version return.

PM2 Change of clothes!

Some back story... I picked up the Cruwear w/ polished g10 handles because I was excited to try out the Cruwear. I couldn't get used to the polished handles They just felt too slippery. I planned to just find a set of plain black g10 scales on eBay so I could finally put it to use. And I finally did...

Have eyed the BBS PE lil Matriarch for a while. Late night beers and online shopping finally made me do it. Should be here in a day or two. Excited to try this one out.

Re: Street Beat Sprint

Love my street beat. Would love LOVE a k390 or solid super blue version with a very slightly thinner grind or thinner stock. With maybe a burlap g10 or micarta handle like the temp 2 would look great I think.

Re: Exclusive Delica - Carbon Fiber with HAP40/SUS410

What’s the texture of the carbon fiber? Is it smooth or slightly grippy? Hard to tell from some of the picks.

Re: 2019 Spyderco Catalog Predictions

I predict the FRN police will be in there.
I wishful think that we see either the FRN Caly 3.5 or even a new variant of the regular Caly 3.5
Also a k390 sprint of semi models would be fantastic!

Re: Exclusive Delica - Carbon Fiber with HAP40/SUS410

If this is constructed like the g10/pakkawood versions then I would be in for this. I do however wish it was in a different steel, considering that there have already been 3 or 4 hap40 variations. Do agree that it would look great with a dlc blade.

Re: Most underrated Spydercos?

I have to agree with Evil D on the Sliverax. Wonderful knife and really hope that we can see some sprint or productions variations in the future. It has been my work knife most days since I got it and has taken everything in stride and has great ergos and carries very small in the pocket for the bla...

Re: Caly 3 EDC perfection? Could we see a compression?

I’d like to add another vote to PLEASE keep the wire clip on an FRN version. Also I think the texturing used on the ukpk fits the Caly model better than the bi-directional used on the seki models. Either way, can’t wait to have some more Caly 3.5 options. Thank you Sal!!

Re: Caly 3.5 (at last)

I have a vg-10 version and the super blue and love them both. Actually I have yet to try a Caly 3 because I prefer the longer blade. Really hoping for some new Caly 3.5s in the near future. I know there has been talk of an frn version, which would be great, but I also would like to see some more reg...

Re: FRN Police 4

Sal, If you are still listening for color suggestions for K390, (and I’m hoping that we see other color matched k390 releases with other models) I have a few... 1. Somewhere between a brick red and burnt orange. 2. A darker version of the desert tan 3. Not black. And I mean a very dark grey that is ...
