The Caly3 carries low in your pocket, out of sight with only the clip really showing. I find the Caly3 sort of disappears in my hand if I choke up on it, it could pass for a fat paring knife if you didn't look too closely.

To all who posted, thank you for your responses . After buying a Sharpmaker a few weeks ago and seeing what a super job it did on my knives I think it's natural to want the benchstones as well.

Benchstone Dishing??

I'm thinking of buying a Spyderco meduim bench stone and I wonder if these ceramic stones dish or hollow from wear after repeated use? If they do can they be flattened with a diamond lapping plate?

Another option is the "Aurora Fire Starter 2SA with Magnesium" made in the USA by Solo Scientific. I bought one for my son last Christmas and was able to give it a try, very impressive.
