Yeah, karma. What was the line? Having integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching.

Something like that.

Re: I just laundered my pm2...

I've done this with two or three knives over the years. Just a couple weeks ago it was G10 Native Forum clipped to the right front pocket. Went thru the entire cycle, fabric softener, everything. Only was discovered clunking in the dryer. Seems to be no worse for wear and has a nice dewy meadow fres...

Re: Taking off the burr

I usually strop my knives to take of the burr but sometimes I simply draw the edge through wood and it seems to do the same thing. Anyone else have any pros or cons to the method? I have my Sharpmaker attached to a piece of wood then clamped to my work bench. I'll often pull the blade through the e...

I agree - wish they'd have used the same as on the G10 model.

Re: I really like FRN

I have an older FRN Native 4 I think it is. Which the spear point blade? Never used it much as I just didn't care for the blade shape. The Native is one model I like so I thought I'd check out the new lightweight model and was pleasantly surprised that the FRN pattern they use provides a good grip w...

Interesting, and a good idea. I've never noticed this before. Now I need to take a look at mine and see if that's the case.

Re: Ouch – my Spydy hole bit me!!!

I myself prefer the older style Spydie holes without the sharper edge. I know it's been said that it adds more thumb traction so to speak. Which it certainly does. Just an observation here now, does it also eliminate one step in the manufacturing process? While a small step, over time, and over thou...

Re: New 2015 Lightweight FRN Native 5 models

I wish on the lightweight they'd have kept the same hole pattern as the G10 so I could swap out the shiny shiny clip with a black one. I ordered a couple extras from SFO so I'll send them for cerakoting. Those shiny clips just bug me for some reason. But as far as comparison, size is equal to the G1...

Re: how safe is Amazon to buy from

I've never had an issue from Amazon but I do try to check out the seller as best I csn, and if they have other online presence as well. On ebay, if the seller has a high, positive, feedback count, I've not had an issue there either. Only one time on a knife seller in Israel. I should have known bett...

Re: Slimmest Spyderco in Pocket?

I find my Native 5 great in pocket and have no issues carrying anything else in there, keys, phone etc. I like the Native 5 too, but would like to see the handle not quite so wide. It's plenty thin enough but a little less width and narrower blade woukd be ok with me. But as it is, it's pretty dang...

I too liked the Jr. Years back I had one and stripped out a pocket clip screw hole. I sent it in for repair but at the time they couldn't repair it and the model was already discontinued. So they replaced it with another knife. Very nice of them I thought. But in retrospect now, I wish I'd of kept t...

Re: Delica Torx screw troubles..

I had issues as well with sloppy fitting torx bits until I followed the advice and went to Wiha. Also, be sure your seated as deep as possible, and straight on, not angled at all. On a nice flat surface. And when re tightening, don't go crazy. Just snug. It's pretty easy to torque down too much as y...

I'm very fond of my G10 Native 2013 Forum model with the 110v blade and green G10.

The Native is a design they really nailed I think. Outstanding fit & finish, with a great slicing blade. Good stuff!

Re: Unashamedly positive post about my new Native 5 G10

Have you noticed that the little extra finishing touches aren't there on the Sage 4 as opposed to the Native 5. I'm particularly speaking of the Sage. The blade spine and thumb hole aren't champfered to knock off the sharp edge like on the Native. Same way on my Chaparrel. Not a big deal as the Taiw...

Re: Ordered a Native 5 fluted titanium

Looks awesome - bet you'll love it. I've been really tempted since I have a couple of the G10 models and a Sage lockback which to me is quite similar. The G10 Native is one of their best IMHO. I will be curious to see how you compare the two once it arrives. In particular, again the 2013 forum editi...
