It's an awesome knife. you don't need nutn to tell you that but it does help make an educated decision, although since this knife is coming from Spyderco should be enough :)

I will be going on a 10 day cruise as well and this thread is very helpful. I will be heading up to Alaska and will likely be carrying my Green FRN UKPK in Gin-1 and my FRN Ladybug in VG-10 and maybe a FRN Dragonfly 2 in VG-10 or a Squeak.

So to summarize:

I think the Dragonfly 2 would also be a great choice as well as the Chicago [liner lock was a little tight for me at first]. Perhaps maybe the Squeak? It's small, with a wire clip but it doesn't have a lock though, I have one and I use it almost everyday, it is one of my favorites.

I own the said knife and I say it has been perfect. The lock so far has been 100% reliable for me, no failures. weight=very light. Also the ergonomics are great, it feels awesome in the hand. For your needs and purpose, I am sure this will be perfect for you and perhaps child's play for the Manix2 ...

I have had this knife for a while now and it is awesome. One hand opening did take a while to get use to but very doable. Very lightweight, Ergonomic, visually appealing. I love it.
