Same here. Unless it has a notch in the blade then it technically isn't a "second"

Who ever said that they are safe queens? They're not just beat up. For example: I use my GB and VECP st the construction site most everyday, but when it comes to pic posting time, I post the glamor shots. And you're wanting pics of beaters? Here's one. http://www.kitchenkneads.com/product_images/44...

I have had another experience with CV also, my dad got us (my brothers and I) each a yellow handled mini trapper in CV. One of my brothers never carries his but the other one always carries his and uses it all the time, but doesn't usually take care of it. So when he came over he asked me if I could...

Cause most of them act like they know everything. ;) This is one of the reasons I am on the forums, so I can learn from guys who have much more experience with knives and steels than me ;) :) LOL I saw his post and immediately thought "Well, not ALL 14-year olds demonstrate immaturity on the f...

Dear OP, There are many things wrong with the way you have approached things here. Your spelling and attitude being the biggest. I gather from these that you are maybe 14 years old . At that age it can be difficult to get a job and buy the things that you want, especially fairly expensive items lik...

Clay's YT channel is a good place for videos, if for nothing else but to get a rough idea of where to put specific knives in the vice, although I found some of the settings he used didn't work the best, so tweaked them a bit. There is a section at the back of the book for recording settings for eac...

....and we'll see how it does in it's new home. I have a M4 Manix begging to be reprofiled, so if the stones need broken in, that should do it. I tried to polish that blade with everything I own.... Nothing worked. That's some wear resistant steel! Any specific videos/info you found helpful? By the...

Thanks again! I ordered the set with the drill stop collar and digital angle gauge, should be here on the 5th. I noticed in Jdavis's videos on youtube that he prefers to put the ricasso on the table instead of the blade, at least on the PM2. Do you use the same method, or lay the blade on the table...

Anyone else have tips/tricks they've picked up using their EP system? I've been watching Ben Dale's and several videos on Youtube and learned some handy stuff. I have a couple things like, at your 10k and maybe even the 5k stone make some stropping strokes, just going away from the edge and not int...

Thanks Mark, and you don't see any issues with diamonds releasing into the stones and putting deeper scratches on your bevels? nope, not really, they might but just barely but starting at 1k is a mirror so when it gets to 10k it is a pretty clear mirror but you might have some stray scratches but t...

I suggested this to one of my friends and hes gonna try it, what I said is to try putting EP tapes on the stones (caramic stones would probably work best for holding the tapes) , weps seems to be all about sharpness- not the mirror finish- so with EP tapes, why not make it both ;) Yea I was thinkin...
