Thanks for the input Sal! I'm glad to hear it's in the works. Like some of the others, I'd also like to see a lock other that the ball lock. For this type of knife I'd like to see a stout compression lock, and if not, a sturdy back lock with a strong detent.

I'd really like to see it with a beefy compression lock. I'd pick up at least a couple.

I like to keep mine dry so that it doesn't attract dirt. When I do need to lube, I just use a little bit of Militec and work it in. After I work it in, I wipe off as much of the excess as I can. It works for me.

Now that the excitement seems to have died down over the initial introduction of the Yojimbo 2, is it still your choice for carry and use?

Deacon: I'm pretty sure the pin that goes through the lock bar is solid with no threading for screws (from looking at VashHash's photos).

MarcusH: Are you saying that the stop pin is not the pin that goes through the lockbar, and that the "actual" stop pin is hidden from view?

It looks like the Szabo MBC folder has a modified version of the compression lock where the stop pin actually goes through the lockbar. Also, there doesn't appear to be any torx screws holding the stop pin in place. It looks to be an awesome knife packed full of new Spyderco engineering. I read ...

I'd like to see it reincarnated as a Chinook II with an extra-heavy-duty compression lock.

I'm a lefty, and my favorite currently produced Spydercos are the Police 3 and Yojimbo 2. The locks and clips on these models are lefty-friendly.
