It's mass, but also friction. The FRN models have a little more drag. I have to wrist snap when I open my Delicas. You get used to it.

I love the Cricket. I'm not a woman, but for either gender who wants a small, non-aggressive, kind of funky blade with high functionality for its size it's a good choice. I like the stainless model because of the frame lock.

If you like the size of the Tenacious, then I suggest you get a Manix 2 and a Paramilitary 2. These two models are almost universally admired as sure bets.

Combo edges do work, they may not sell as well, which is why I don't complain about more of them being made by Spyderco. I never really understand why people can't accept there is a time and place for any type of tool.

Answered no. But I did cut the b3j33zus out of my finger last week closing a Case Peanut. Attempted a one handed close on the small pen blade while working some food prep with my left hand. Ouch. As with all my knife cuts, it was clearly user error.
