I, too have carried steel barreled ball point pens for my daily carry. I can you from experience that they work well - at least in the yawara capacity. Great minds...hey, maybe someone will market a cool "tactical" writing utensil. It'll have to be done in matte black or OD, but with that ...

Speaking for Thane and me, your current curriculum has given our edged weapon capabilities a turbo boost. It is very good as it is, so don't delete anything. If you are going to modify the program, perhaps you might consider adding a level.

This sounds like a terrific idea. The price of approx.$200/day sounds good, too. As for content, whatever you want to cover - as far as I'm concerned, every day is holiday and every meals is a feast! You did mention having Mr. Keating in sometime - perhaps this would be a good event for that ...
