I have a 440 Millie with the large jimping on the spine and it does much better if I sharpen it "toothy" and man does it hold an edge!!!

Wish they made one in ATS-55, as I like that steel on my Endura's. I'm old school :)

My issue was when HR sent and had everyone sign a "violence in the workplace" form basically banning all weapons including and especially knives of any size. Clips are a dead giveaway if folks are looking for them. Not fun!

Ok - this may come across a little mall-ninja. I like large knives and deep cover presentation so I had the wifer sew a pocket to the back of my pocket so my Military is clipped like normal just inside the pocket - the clip is not seen and it comes out just like normal. Had this done on the dress ...

Speaking as a wide man I have caught that clip on everything you could imagine. I will undo the seatbelt and watch my Endura go sailing by. I am now in the habit of doing a muscle memory touch just to make sure I'm squared away (CCW crowd will understand this) The more expensive the knife the more ...

Sal,

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

It is very encouraging knowing that you are out there and taking an interest in something as insignificant as this issue.

My collection of Spydercos is very humble compared to many others on this forum but I am as much of a fan as any of them. Many ...

SoCal -

I sent a FRN Endura in 6 years ago and they ground off the left over molded clip and used what looks like self-tapping screws into the handle.

Been carrying it every day since - If you need a pict I can take one and post.

I already ordered some clips for my other broken Enduras from ...

I was invited to post a follow up on this thread so here it is –

It has been interesting working with customer service.

After I emailed and posted here I received a couple of emails from Terry Tahan on 1/18 indicating that the clip needed would be sent.

So now it's 1/29 and no clip so I thought ...

Zenheretic - How fortunate for this forum to have your special insight available.

I suppose your comment is about the most inflammatory and personal so far. Thank you for your example

I knew I was going to get flamed for ever saying anything other than praise about Spyderco so I'm not offended or surprised.

Let me start by saying I'm a huge Syderco fan and when anybody asks me about knives I always recommend Spyderco.

I own 15 of the old Endura's - As a firefighter I am rough ...

Sal - what's with Spyderco customer service department?

I am a long time lurker, first time poster.

I must be the only guy having issues with Spyderco customer service.

The last time I sent my old Endura in for tip repair and sharpening it came back scratched up and in worse shape than when I sent it in.

This caused me to get a Sharpmaker (maybe that ...

Magic -

I had worried about discrete carry and ended up changing my carry location instead of tearing up my knives.

First location is to put the knife between my shirt and pants with the clip between the outside of the pants and belt. The clip in not seen at all and the bit of the knife that ...

looking for a Harpy ats-55 for deployment

Hello to the forum,

Don't know if this is the correct place or not but I am trying to locate a Harpy in ats-55. If some one can hook me up it would be great. I am getting ready for deployment and wanted to take a Harpy. I had one before in this steel and it was lost in the field. Thanks to all here -

I felt like I should jump in as well. I have to say on the couple of times I had to contact Spyderco customer service, I was not impressed with the attitudes. When I sent my Delica in for sharpening, It came back dull and scratched up. I called and the customer service person couldn't care less ...

mac - I have had the combo military for about 3 months. I'm a firefigher and carry it 24/7. Used it on seatbelts, cardboard, jeans, car carpet, T1 cable, telco wire, roadkill deer(fresh), kernmantle, hemp utility rope, mattress with springs and it has held up well. Run it over a Sharpmaker once in a ...

Knife Knut , My slip is a 1500 Japanese waterstone, I got it at Berland Tools. The strop I made. one is a piece of leather stapled to a large size paint stir stick and the other is a piece of thick felt stapled to onother stir stick with Flitz on it. The thick felt is good for letting the serrations ...

Just got my engraved Military, thanks Linda!! - YIKES! Do I ever like this! My question is about the Sharpmaker, how does it sharpen the different sized serrations?? I have been using a slipstone and strop on my Endura, Native, Police, Rescue and would like to try the Sharpmaker. Any info would be ...
