I like them too. Sure a hawkbill is not an "all-around knife" but it obviously can do some things far better than most other designs. It's a great tool for gardening and my wife has ruined several of them in that pursuit. I let her use Opinels for that task, I wouldn't let her touch my Spyderhawk ...

>>Point is, "insider trading" is like a "rigged election" ( remember the 2000 Vote?)<<
Yes, I remember the 2000 vote. Despite the Democrats culling and reculling every district in Florida they thought would yield them more votes, and their attempt to block the counting of overseas military absentee ...

Yes, I'm very fond of my SE Dodo. In fact I'm really quite surprised at myself just how much I have taken to this funny-looking little knife. I've long been a fan of the reverse-S blade, having a couple of Crickets and a Meerkat. They are real cutters! But putting that style of blade on a handle you ...

Yes, I also have one of those Baby Goddard PE black micartas, which I also bought from Mrs. Goddard (Phillis, I think her name is). It's a great little knife and I really like it, but if they were to reissue a limited run in micarta once again, I'd love to see them in that gorgeous burgundy micarta ...

vampyrewolf, you found out about cotton balls stuffed in soda straws on BF? How cool. I came up with that idea a couple months ago and shared it on another forum. I wonder if it worked it's way to BF or if someone else came up with the same idea by chance? Anyway, I think it's a great way to pack ...

There are other magnesium firestarters on the market but of course they all use the same element magnesium and a ferro-match sparker, so the only real difference between them is size and design. Some are bigger and even come mounted to hardwood handles which supposedly you can whittle if you are ...

For now, just the Paramilitary and maybe a SS Cricket. That's because I just bought a black PE Dodo, a carbon fiber PE Delica, and a PE Goddard Lightweight <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I hear the Paramilitary is due out a week ago. Wish I had a time machine so I ...

New/old Spydie
I went to a knife and gun show this past weekend and found lots of Spydercos to drool over. Got to see the Persian and the Chinook II and have those on my wish list. But the knife I wound up getting was a NIB Wayne Goddard Lightweight PE C16BK. Those have been discontinued for some time but I've ...
