Re: LeafJumper dyed navy blue

Looks good! Nice to know this is an option for K390 blue.

Personally my favorite Seki FRN blue is probably the SPY27 one but I do like all the ones I've seen in person so far.

Re: M4 knives

One thing I've appreciated about Spyderco's M4 is that they've always run it hard. I think other companies have caught up now but 15 years ago, there was a noticeable difference in M4 from e.g. Benchmade and what Spyderco was doing with the Bradley.

These days when looking for non-stainless tool ...

I held out as long as I could
but I needed an iconic Military

Thanks for the heads-up on this. Mine just delivered today, listed as sold by Onkata. Looks ...

Re: Bark River Knives closing?

One other comment about the spillover effect of this kind of thing - allegations of mislabeled steel are not new for BRKT, some of them pretty well documented. The rusting "mangacut" with "contaminated belts" were only the latest in a longer line.

To be completely honest it made me look a little ...

Thread on bladeforums as well, hard to tell at this point what's fact, speculation, hearsay, or libel.

That's cool! It's KnifeJokers old exclusive configuration. Never heard of Onkata but it sounds and looks legitimate.

I could go on for another eight or ten knives but you get my pattern here .
I actually don't get your argument here... Sounds like you bought five knives to have two modded ones.

Spyderco just sold five knives. Where's their incentive to offer factory mods here?

Thanks for the update and reasoning, Sal and team.

Planning purchases is much easier with better information, lead time on any changes, and stability in requirements, so this clarity is appreciated.

Nowadays, the cost of training in a martial arts school is probably high.

$150/mo for BJJ, as many classes as I can fit into my schedule. Would be $200 if I wanted to add Muay Thai onto BJJ but I can barely make as much time as I want for BJJ already.

As 0006’s duties, I must be the first (this year) to remind you all to routinely go through your sock drawer and replace some old socks with fresh, new ones and then get a new knife to go with those new socks!

The rest of the top 10 shall be reprimanded appropriately.

Still a little curious if anyone knows why BladeHQ ended up with this instead of Knifeworks?

But either way, nicely done from Spyderco.

Best necro thread bump ever. It spawned some wonderful knives. Unfortunately too many, maybe.

Sorry, I don't understand the point you're making here.

The Lil Matriarch is a Delica-based, reverse-S blade model that per Spydiewiki weighs 71g / 2.5 oz.

I apologize for expressing my thoughts so vaguely. What I meant was that they have different blade ends, and therefore completely ...

Further development of this idea would make sense to create a new DELICA model based on the Gooney blade. But the blade tip should be slightly sharper than that of the original Gooney.

How do you see this Gooney-Delica being different from the Lil Matriarch?

From my experience ...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

BentoBoxShop currently has their K390 Para3 exclusive on sale for $225 (vs usual $245).

Not a crazy deal or anything but mentioning since there has been some discussion of Golden-production K390 in other threads recently. (PM2 is currently still full $265 price, to save you a click.)
