I've had to break both of my PM2s (one a smurf) in for about two or three weeks before I was totally comfortable with the detent and opening (blue loctite came out after that). If you haven't had it for very long, giving it some more break-in time would be the way to go, I think.

I'm a lefty, too, and I carry a PM2 every day. The comp lock's plenty lefty-friendly; don't let it keep you from getting one.

Spyderco does make left-handed Militaries; they're not too hard to find and prices are usually the same as the regular satin-blade black-G10 model.

I can do something very similar with my PM2 and middle finger, but coming straight into a reverse grip out of the pocket a) isn't useful for cutting much and b) bothers NKP even more.

I saw the notice on BF and ordered mine yesterday evening. I had a bit of extra money that I had been planning on getting a ZT 0560 with, but I'd much rather have this. It'll be my first Millie; I can't wait for it to come in.
