I've had to break both of my PM2s (one a smurf) in for about two or three weeks before I was totally comfortable with the detent and opening (blue loctite came out after that). If you haven't had it for very long, giving it some more break-in time would be the way to go, I think.

M390 if I've got money to burn; VG-10 if I don't. :D I've been meaning to try out M4, but it'll probably be in a BM, not a Spyderco - I just don't care for the way the GB looks at all and the FFG Manix is kind of "meh" for me. What's the word on Elmax? I've heard great things about toughne...

I'm a lefty, too, and I carry a PM2 every day. The comp lock's plenty lefty-friendly; don't let it keep you from getting one.

I do feel for the left handed folk who prefer left hand oriented blades. They miss out on most sprints and exclusives etc. more than that, it is hard to get 100% performance on a right hand oriented blade if one is left handed. Speaking as a left-handed fellow, I've actually been really happy with ...

IMO, no, not really. MSRP just happens to be more than I can afford at the moment.

I would love to have one of these, but between the blue one and the green preorder, it ain't gonna happen at $200... maybe at the original price.

Thanks for the heads-up, anyway.

Thanks for the comparison, very interesting to see them side by side. I had the cash all saved up and ready to go for the 0560 when those 59 M390/CF Militaries came up on KW. I ended up getting the Military - first one I've ever owned, and I love it, even as a LH user. The 0560 is definitely still o...

I think it's an original Yojimbo - in the pic with all the knives open, it's in the top right corner.

I've got mine loose enough that the blade drops at least halfway closed when I release the lock; I just have to remember to get my fingers out of the way. If I want to have more control for a RH closing, though, I hold it upside down, press the lock tab in with my middle finger, support the handle o...

Spyderco does make left-handed Militaries; they're not too hard to find and prices are usually the same as the regular satin-blade black-G10 model.

Apparently a black opaque handled lightweight version will be released sometime in the future.

Can we just change the title of the thread to "Sal, can we get a M390 left handed Millie sprint?" Nah, because then someone comes along and explains in very small words like you would with a seven year old about the need for extra tooling and machinery and the minimum order size and who's...

Interesting. The only way I'd order another one is if they change the scale color. I love the knife, don't get me wrong. It has the best action out of all my P2s. But smurf blue? Come on, man. They can do better than that. Give me a Deeep Crimson M390. Yes.. yes.. That is what I want. And I don't m...

No, I haven't actually contacted Al Mar, and I don't know that the size is right to begin with. And it's just going to be carried as a tool, so speed's not really an issue... I just love the way my PM2 drops into my hand ready to open. I'll look around on BF some, but I'm leaning towards just leavin...

I can do something very similar with my PM2 and middle finger, but coming straight into a reverse grip out of the pocket a) isn't useful for cutting much and b) bothers NKP even more.

Millie Fix for a Southpaw

I just ordered one of the CF/M390 millies that came up at KW the other day. I can't wait for it to get in. However, I am left-handed, and the Military is set up for the other 90% of the world. I have no issue using right-hand locking liners; it's the pocket clip that I'm looking to do something abou...

I saw the notice on BF and ordered mine yesterday evening. I had a bit of extra money that I had been planning on getting a ZT 0560 with, but I'd much rather have this. It'll be my first Millie; I can't wait for it to come in.
