For some reason I thought they fixed the FFG H1 problem. (I probably saw somebody's salt with a reprofiled blade) And I heard the original reason Spyderco quit making kitchen knives was that it was too expensive. Now that I think about it, the Endura/Delica are about even with their salt equivalents ...

Feel-wise you're pretty much looking at Endura vs Delica. Handles are quite similar, you're just using a hawkbill. Generally I use the Tasman, simply because if I need a heavier duty blade I'll go for a more robust/usable blade shape, and if I'm carrying a salt at all, it's usually because I'm at ...

Kitchen Knives

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but the forum search isn't working for me. Anyway I was curious if there was any talk about Spyderco making a new Kitchen series. I think H1 would make for an interesting kitchen blade steel, and and FFG Aqua Salt would make a pretty decent utility blade. If ...

Perhaps you got a bad Tenacious. I party with a few Tenacious knives, and while they all aren't perfect (most aren't centered when closed), the factory grinds on all of mine were on par with many of my Seki Spydercos.

I've found 8Cr13MoV tends to flatten, but not a whole lot. Only real damage I've had was when a [former] friend though it would be cool to whack the edge against the edge of a hatchet he found. Chipped it a tiny bit near the tip of the blade, but after repeated sharpening it's no longer visible. H1 ...

The GB is going to be my next purchase. I can't think of another knife that offers an M4 caliber steel and carbon fiber scales at that price point. Plus I love the blade shape.

It's not a bad knife, and I'm all for repping Spyderco, but I always found the frn handles on the Centofantes to be a bit tacky. I've used them; they're great blades, and I'd love to see a re-release/sprint run in G-10 myself. I'm just not a big logo guy and I'd rather have a more usable texture on ...

Someone posted recently about a way to make an angular notch using a small file, and thus the notch itself would actually be sharpened. I'd like to do that, but I've been to several stores and have not been able to find a small diamond file of the type he mentioned. I understand your point and ...
