I was under the impression that the original chinook remains the strongest lock that spyderco has tested. I could be wrong though.

all i can say is that every time someone buys a powerglide, a gargoyle emerges from the shadows and strangles someone. that has to be the sorriest excuse for a knife ever. i often play around with it before i go out knife shopping to remind myself not to buy blindly again.

first off, id say that spydercos cover a wide range of tasks. for example, while the meerkat is razor sharp and has great egronomics, it is not a super strong blade. i can make the lock fail if i press on the spine hard enough.
