Re: Flat Earth Antics
You talk to some weird people. That's pretty out there, might want to get his head examined. Yea. This particular guy literally sent me what amounts to hundreds of web pages defending his view. He is convinced. If one looks hard enough on the internet they can find something to prove their opinion ...

Re: Flat Earth Antics
To be clear I know the Earth is round and space is real and planets are real as are stars. However, I have spoken with Flat Earth believers and they have a whole battery of claims they use to say NASA and the govt and media all lie. One of them would send me page after page and picture after ...

I dunno. stupidity maybe?SpyderEdgeForever wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 7:45 amAnkerson why do you think that changed with more modern programming? So they can keep audiences watching longer? I also notice the trend in theater, movies, and tv now to recycle old content. Not much originality.

Re: Nearly-Forgotten TV Shows, Themes, and Ads
I hear you, I like the old shows too. I keep the TV on METV all the time. I like the small moments as they called in some of the older shows, the character interaction. One thing about the older shows is the episodes can all stand on their own. ;) As in they aren't soap operas like all the current ...

Re: Nearly-Forgotten TV Shows, Themes, and Ads
I like to watch the old shows and imagine the characters having Spyderco knives on them. I hear you, I like the old shows too. I keep the TV on METV all the time. Re: Nearly-Forgotten TV Shows, Themes, and Ads
Ankerson Lee Majors is one of my favorites. Did you like TJ Hooker and the original SWAT? TJ hooker wasn't all that great IMHO nor was the original SWAT. Really not a big Willliam Shatner fan, he over acts very badly so... The Best thing about the original SWAT was the Song. I did like The Fall Guy ...

Re: Basic Knife and Tool Safety Class
Do you all think this would be a good class for high schools and universities to teach students? A class on the basic safe use, purchase and identification of high vs low quality, cleaning, sharpening and maintenance of such things as knives of all main types, saws, hammers, pliers, and even basic ...

Re: Cleaning pocket knives
Use a kitchen knife or a fixed blade if going to be used on food a lot.SpyderEdgeForever wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2024 9:05 amWhile we are on this topic, how deep a clean must we do on a folder to make sure there is no cross contamination if we use the knife on food? Fixed blades are obviously easier to clean fully.

Re: Cleaning pocket knives
Faucet, Dawn dish soap, toothbrush and a air compressor is all I use. I live in the desert so no oil needed. That is good. What about WD 40? Works great to get glue etc off the blade, just spray on, wait a min and wipe it off. Easy WD-40 removal, just spray Windex on the blade and wipe it off and ...

Re: Cleaning pocket knives
These are pocket knives, not space shuttles. If the knife is covered in filth, put it under the faucet in the kitchen sink and squirt some dish soap on it. If there's stubborn goop in there, use a Q-Tip. If the scrunge doesn't dissolve in warm water and soap, hose it down with brake cleaner or WD40 ...

Re: MacLaren - Paul is Still alive.
I still can't believe this happened in that area. Seems like almost nowhere is truly safe these days and sadly, most of the reason is the fault of humanity's existence itself. I doubt anyplace was really truly safe ever, it's just a matter of luck one way or the other when, not if, something is ...
