While we are on this topic, how deep a clean must we do on a folder to make sure there is no cross contamination if we use the knife on food? Fixed blades are obviously easier to clean fully.

Use a kitchen knife or a fixed blade if going to be used on food a lot.

Vasoline works great for corrosion protection too. Plus it is cheap and comes in large containers.

PAM works well too.

Faucet, Dawn dish soap, toothbrush and a air compressor is all I use. I live in the desert so no oil needed. That is good. What about WD 40?
