Re: Allergy Shots
Like everything, allergy testing and shots have changed and improved over the years. You also need to find a dedicated allergy Doc that keeps up with the science. Ours is quite good, both myself and the wife have some allergies. They do change over time and my wife went first. I got tired of annual ...

Re: Fake Tech Support Calls: Anyone else get them?
Microsoft never calls, even if you have the ultimate top tier support level. The IRS and court clerks don't call either, they are just criminals looking to separate you from your money. If you don't recognise the caller just let your voicemail or answering machine take a message, if it's really ...

Perhaps, but I have found what you project has much to do with what you receive.

Until recently O would have said it's my Super Blue Endura, that steel works really well for me. OTOH, I recently started carrying my Tatanka so I can no longer consider the Endura as a "Big" folding knife. :D

Re: What was your first computer?
I built my first computers, a simple analog computer that could do simple match and a switching logic computer that electrified the old riddle of a farmer with a bushel of corn, a goose and a fox that he had to move across a river. His boat could only carry one item at a time and he had to prevent ...

Re: Car question: How to stop a brakeless car? Hit a Tree
We have a particularly steep driveway, it drops more than 100 feet in elevation and is difficult to walk up or down because of the steep angle. Guests have asked what I'd do if I lost my brakes, I always, say, "I'd steer off the driveway and hit a tree right away." Why? "Because at the bottom I'd be ...

Re: Sig Sauer P238 Blackwood: Mini Review (Pic Heavy)
I have eyed that one for years and it is a really nice piece. Any lover of the 1911 platform would be giddy to have one scaled down as small as is reasonably possible. Unfortunately my LCP was half the price and weighs half as much. I like to pocket carry and the LCP is just over 12 ounces loaded ...

Re: QUEEN CUTLERY: Very Respectable
They are very nice traditional pocket knives. They made a limited run of doctor knives a couple of years ago. Flat end for crushing medicinal powders, a spatula blade for mixing and administering medicines and an long narrow knife blade for minor surgery and lancing jobs back in the day. I bought ...

Re: BladeHQ All Spyderco Lock Test
Flawed test? Seriously? All those knives took way more force than you can exert on the handle of a knife while doing any job a knife is designed to perform. But did we really need a test to know that? I don't think that was the goal of the test was it? Some folks have an almost religious ...

Re: USPS follies
Overall, very good. I ship and receive a lot of USPS packages. I get pretty good delivery times unless a package gets routed thru New York, San Antonio or Atlanta. Not always, but too often it can take two or more days to exit these locations. Our local PO carriers are very good, substitute carriers ...

Re: East Coast seconds sale?
I'm sure there would be interest in a "local" seconds sale just about anywhere in the USA. Beyond that, it would probably follow the same logic as the one in Golden. A few die hards would consider it a pilgrimage and trek from great distances, but most attendees would be folks who lived within what ...

Congratulations on the new job and the Des Horn. This knife is one that looks so much better in person than in photographs and that slim point is pretty handy for some task like splinter removal.
